An enlightening evening of jazz fusion with 4 remarkable players. Ginger was on top form, although probably not the force he once was. His percussion and double bass players truly shone when they were given the space, and the drum/percussion duets were sometimes outstanding. PeeWee was great and provided the light and direction to the ensemble.
Only problem, was they didn't play an encore. Why not? We all wanted much more

I ventured out on a cold Wednesday evening to catch up with Ginger Baker's jazz confusion at the Jazz Cafe in CamdenTown.And it was well worth the visit.Ginger played two short sets,but they where awesome!a great tight unit,with some blistering solos.My only quibble,I got there too early(7pm)just didn't realise they where not due to play until 9pm.But what a great venue,nice and close up to the band-fantastic.
