It's been 15 yerars since I last saw Yo La Tengo, and they like me have changed a lot. They have developed many sounds, beautiful harmonies and the most hardcore feedback imaginable. The set went from whisper quiet acoustic numbers to crazy horse mind blowing wig outs ! You could walk out to the bar and come back in and swear you were seeing a totally different band. It was the most enjoyable musical experience I have had all year, you just let yourself get lost in the sounds, they really take you to another place. The only thing that was mssing for me was the inclusion of "You can have it all", which to me just typifies the beauty of YLT. I can't wait to see them again, and for my kids to be old enough to get into their shows, earplugs a must for nippers though. I will be hearing the awesome sounds I experieinced in my head for many days to come, Thanks Georgie, James and Ira.
