World Party were, and I use the word were, great.
Sadly on the showing of last night they aren't anymore.

It's less of a World Party these days, more of a washed up pub singer down his local carping on about the ills of the world. The voice is just about there still, as are those wonderful songs - but now it's like watching Victor Meldrew lumbering his way through a bunch of songs he hates.
Maybe it was just a bad night, who knows.
What I do know was it was a complete waste of time.

Simply amazing! Karl and his two accomplices produced a brilliant night's music and entertainment. They were just awesome. Please add drums and bass and do it again :-)
PS the venue were great at accommodating and assisting our wheelchair bound friend, thanks.

Excellent night at Oron Mor Glasgow, great new sound coming from Karl on KB & Acustic, David on Fiddle & John on Electric.
So many memories, summed up the the last 25 years for me.
Best gig in the last couple of decades, but then again that's how often they tour!

Fantastic to see Karl back at his very best. A superb night. Not only was he on the money but the band were tight and really rocked the place. A must see for anyone who appreciates great songs played by a great band.
The only hiccup was that even though I booked the tickets in July they didn't arrive until 2 days before which was very stressful.
