fantastic gig from start to finish biffs vocals are still excellent after all these years played most of the new album which is brilliant superb 2 hours of first class heavy metal thunder

Went to see Saxon and have to say they were fantastic they played all the songs I wanted to hear would deffo go again anywhere any time! There were 3 bands on that night (red line ) a rock band enjoyable a really kicked ass! Then came the Quireboys they were brill I likened them to the band poison great frontman! Then the main event right from the first to last it was non stop rocking they played for 2 hours very proffesional and boy did they rock well done guys had a great night !!!!!!! Thankyou!!!

The Saxon gig at the ABC in Glasgow was heavy rockin' at its best. Great songs, great energy, and great atmosphere. The sound quality could have been a little sharper but it was loud and proud! New album 'Unleash the Beast' is the best for a long while with some great riffs and power chords. Songs like Terminal Velocity and The Thin Red Line are up there with the best. We were standing, not sitting as it says below. Better on your feet anyway at a gig like this. Cant wait till Saxon come back to Glasgow.

seen Saxon twice before @ Download, but this was the first time i,ve seen them on their own. Pretty damn good in my opinon! Performing most of the recent Sacrifice album plus a healthy dollop of old classics, well worth the money! almost amazes that a band that launched at the same time as Iron Maiden isn,t at least bigger than they are!

The band REDLINE who opened the show had a great sound and a singer with a wonderful voice. Followed by The QUIREBOYS, whose fun and energy really got the party started.
I was really looking forward to seeing SAXON again, but the first couple of songs were rubbish. Not the band but Biffs singing, you couldn't hear him at all. I thought all was lost for the evening, but after changing microphones all was well again and the show proceeded as it should. And WHAT a show, it was great, really really good. Of our small group there was only me who's been a fan of SAXON since I was 17, they were the first band I saw. When the sound was bad to start, I thought 'Oh No, they'll wonder what I've bought them to!' But they all thoroughly enjoyed seeing them, one young lad of 25 said . . . . . Mmm they can rock can't they!!
It was a great night, thanks to all the bands. Really wonderful to see SAXON again.
EXCELLENT Night, And actually great value for money.

Seen Saxon for yet another year (been seeing them since their Dogs of War tour in 1995/1996.

They know their stuff inside out. The Quireboys were fine, not incredible, but nice to see Spike and Biff share the stage and having a laugh.

Top notch metal.

What a fantastic night of entertainment. Before event thought Quireboys and Saxon were an odd mix....how wrong ! Redline started the night...great sound. Quireboys....ever the party band and put everyone in the right mood for the main event. No matter how many times I see Saxon they just seem to get better. Whole night was amazing.

after 30 odd years saxon seem to be the forgotten band of the nwobhm era, but on this evidence they should still be up there with the likes of iron maiden etc. playing songs from new album sacrifice (buy it!) along with classic tunes saxon delivered another outstanding performance. having seen them countless times during their career they never fail to deliver. go see them while they are still rockin!

Awesome night, epic two hour set from Saxon with all the hits and some great new material. Also great support; redline rocked us hard and quireboys had me dancing too (honestly not being harsh to any crippled singers here lol) would totally recommend this to anyone

The gig was great, didn't see the early support as late from work, however the Quireboys were excellent. I was reminded that I hadn't seen Saxon since the 80's and before (when I saw them as Son of a B..... usually at Blackpool, Jenks, Mardi Gras days).

There were some good moments, some quieter moments, but Biff was in fantastic form, as was the rest of the band. Missed the last few songs (after Wheels of Steel) as had to get the last train home, but what I saw was brilliant and I will go and see them again. Really enjoyed Dallas 1pm, Ride Like the Wind, 747. Go to see them you won't be disappointed as they are one of the greatest bands who don't get the recognition they deserve.
