Chris Rea once again proved he is one of the best guitarists and musicians this country has ever produced. His ability and muscial skills are beyong belief. The band he fronts was faultless and the tighness and understanding of each other was amazing. The sound and mixing was also faultless, not too load but beautifully balanced. I could listed to him for ever and never tire!

Chris Rea was fantastic. His set was a mix of his new work and the old favourites. He is an amazing guitarist, great vocalist and energetic entertainer on stage.
The support act, Paul Casey, who also pays rhythm guitar with Chris Rea, was good as well.

Loving his music already I went to this event expecting to hear fantastic music. I wasn't dissappointed as he sang and played brilliantly. He played for a good hour and a half and just went from song to song covering a big range of his songs. Of course I knew he was an amazing guitar player, and singer, and he showed that with every song, his guitar playing really blew me away at times, but I didn't appreciate him as a perrformer until the event. During the show he was jumping and dancing around the stage and he really impressed me as a performer keeping the crowd energised. His support band were great too and emcompassed two other guitar players, a drummer and a key boardist and the songs were really belted out at times. Rea also finished with a brilliant rendition of his classic "Road to Hell". It was a fantastic show and I really felt I got my monies worth.

Well, this was the first time that we had seen Chris Rea live and he was amazing. I did not know that anyone could create sound like that from a guitar, it was alive. My husband said that his voice was better live than recorded.
The rest of the band were also of the highest ability including the warm up act who is a gifted musician as well. Worth every penny.

I went to see chris rea with an open mind thinking he was just a singer with a gravely
voice, how wrong was I. It took just 10 min to be blown away by his awesome guitar playing. The show was fantastic once Chris started playing. I can honestly say I am now as much of an avid fan has my husband.

A great performance with old and new. Chris more lively and anitmated than last time I saw him. All on stage obviously enjoying- it makes all the difference. Sound was fantsatic.
I don't have any negatives but would have loved to have heard "Little Blonde Plaits" live and another encore would have been fantastic.

He was amazing. 4th time I have seen him. I know he has been poorly.
You would never know. Yes he's lost alot of that chunkiness, and the blonde man has gone. To be replaced by the NEW man. We are all getting older, but he sounds just the same..lots of singers who have been around a while have lost the power in their voices, Chris Rea hasn't. That sexy 60 woodbines a day sound is as good as ever. Well done Chris. Master of the slide guitar, I'll say so.. XX

the concert started off well with some great new material that was classic chris. even though i didn't know some of them they were instantly likeable. his voice is pure class and sounds even better live. his band were great too and the simple backdrop and lights complemented them well. the audience were very appreciative but seeing as quite a lot of them were of a certain age, weren't too keen to get up and dance. three quarters of the way through, a man rushed to the front with his arms in the air, grabbing a woman who was dancing on the side and we were like sheep! suddenly loads of us joined him at the front and danced and clapped our way to the end. it was fantastic. i'm sure chris and the band appreciated it. only disappointment was that they didn't do the encore that we were all screaming for.

We had excellent seats but the evening was disappointing. I was hoping for a lot of his songs but instead it was mainly instrumental. His guitar playing is fantastic but not the reason I went to see Chris Rea. My other main gripe is his lack of ability to communicate with his audience. It would have been interesting to hear how the tour was going, who the current members of the band are and a bit about his obvious change from a more vocal concert to a predominantly guitar playing evening. It would have been appropriate to acknowledge the presence of so many fans.

Brilliant night.
The best slide guitarist in the land.
The audience would have let him play for hours.
The band were really tight and enjoyed it
