A fun night out for all

Favourite moment: When the songs Letter from America and 500 Miles had everyone singing along including myself. @
Opening act(s): Better then I expected, I usually don't enjoy opening acts since I want to see the main show but this was different and was equally as good as the main event. @

A brilliant show from the warm up to the big finale. After all these years the Proclaimers can still sing a tune which will get everyone dancing. A fantastic combination of their best known songs as well as some new ones. Trying to describe it on a computer screen cannot measure up to seeing the show with my own eyes. All I can say is that if you get a chance to see the Proclaimers then go see the Proclaimers, you won't be dissapointed.

Favourite moment: The classics getting the whole place singing, letter from America and 500 miles. @
Opening act(s): Half of the Wonderstuff, Erica and Miles. Described themselves as the buskers for the Proclaimers, and I think that was quite an astute observation. Decent opening act, not enough singing from Erica though, she has a great voice! @

They were one of those groups I didn't think I knew that well and wasn't even sure if I liked so much. However as a live act they were fantastic from start to finish. They have a humble charm of just a couple of guys keeping it real and just dong what they do. Venue was atmospheric and the mix of old songs and new things made for a memorable evening. I'd certainly recommend it to the initiated and uninitiated alike, go with an open mind and you'll have a great night.

Second time I have seen the Proclaimers in the last couple of years. The set was excellent, atmosphere was great and the girl who came on to play the Viola for Sunshine on Leith was fantastic.
Will definately go again.

I have always enjoyed listening to the Proclaimers on the radio, and as a Jock myself (from Glasgow) I love the fact that these guys sing with a Scottish accent.
After hearing how much Chris Evans on BBC Radio 2 enjoyed the band playing at his Wine and Dine Disco for Children in Need I made a mental note to see this band live.
As i now live in York I decided to see the gig at the 02 Academy in leeds, with my partner and we were not dissappointed. The band were great, the sound was crystal clerar, and from the moment the guys came on stage it was like being at a New Years Party !
We will certainly see them again sometime in the future.

The band were great. Support act was good. We were to pick up our tickets from the box office but they directed us round the corner - why not put a sign up? Some people were ignoring the music in favour of chatting - seems like an expensive way to have a drink and a chat.

A fantastic evening and an outstanding live performance, which could only have been improved upon with a more appropriate venue. The Symphony Hall is a fantastic venue, with cracking acoustics, but expecting the audience to stay seated when the boys got going quashed our exuberant atmosphere a little. Having seen them play a much smaller gig in a tent in Inverness last year, I can definitely say I preferred the more casual setting.
The Proclaimers themselves did not disappoint on any level. They are fantastic to see live and never fail to give the audience a first class experience. Roll on the next UK tour!

Craig and Charlie as they have always been-raw, celtic style, brilliant lyrics and stirring tunes!
The audience was mixed ages from children to OAP's.
I last saw them 20 years ago, and apart from looking more mature, they were just as they were. They always give 110% to their performance and I had a great time!

Wte went to sheffield city hall to watch the proclaimers, suprisingly it wasn't sold out. The support act started out a little poor , but soon got going and proved themselves a decent support act.
The highlight was of course when the proclaimers came on stage and boy did they give us a show. There were people dancing in the aisles as they played some of there new tracks and plenty of their classics. by the end of the concert everybody was up on their feet in appreciation and in return we gor another 15 mins for our standing ovation.
This was a superb concert and we would hjghly recommend it to anyone who was thinking of going.

The Proclaimers were superb!! Enjoyed every minute :-) My only flustration was with The Symphony Hall!!! The Proclaimers could get the feet tapping of a dead man but Symphony Hall would not allow dancing?!?!?! There was a fantastic atmosphere and when The Proclaimer "I would walk 500 miles", their final record, people stood up to clap and dance. Symphony Hall would not allow this and was telling people to sit back in their seats .. what harm was there?!?! Wouldn't go there again. Proclaimers rocked thou!!!!!!!!

From the moment these guys stepped on stage, there was an amazing atmosphere. The band were technically brilliant, with the keyboard player doubling up on the accordion.
I thought that the band were too loud and would drown out the brothers voices. I was wrong. I didn't realise how powerful their voices are with beautiful harmonies.
I've rarely been to a concert where you cannot stop smiling. The new material was great and interlinked with favourites and rare ones. I loved the intimacy of the reading of messages, like requests, that the audience had passed to them.
A fantastic concert and way beyond expectations.
