What can I say, saw her 18 years ago, mind blowing then and mind blowing now. 'Fire & Desire' still sends shivers down my spine just thinking about it. There is no one better, the female version of the late great Luther Vandross. Portugees Love my all time favourite, roll on february.

At last i have put this in writting,oh my god this woman is still fantastic, It was a great night and the indigo was rocking. I see Lady T 18 years ago at Southport weekender and i was hooked from then on.

Can't wait to see her again and hope it's at this venue. Also the pumping music from 'boogie nights promotions' before and after was really good too.

Teena Marie concert was excellent and brought back the era of the great soul/RnB concerts back in the eighties.
She sang the club favourites, Square Biz, I need your Loving and I'm a sucker for your love where audience went crazy.
I especially enjoyed when she took her time and sang the ballads 'Deja Vu' , 'Still in love' and a masterclass performance of 'Fire and Desire' , this was special moment felt througout the audience as thoughts were with the late Rick James.
A great concert with a great band and a after party to complete an excellent night out.
Rumours that she be back in June, I'll be the first to buy my ticket.

What a brilliant set. Teena had us all mesmorised with her voice and control. A talented family affair. Just felt sorry for those upstairs as we downstairs were able to dance and feel the full event with no restrictions. After 19 years away it was an excellent return to the UK. Will definitely try and get tickets for her return in June or July.

Had a fantastic time at the Teena Marie concert. Danced all night long. Great to see Teena strutting her stuff. My husband Bob is a big fan and it reminded him of the old days ,like The Caister Soul weekenders. More Please!!!! Off to buy the new album!

Teena Marie managed to stand hairs on the back of my neck with tune after tune. She whipped up the crowd with her fast and funky numbers and brought back many memories of the excitement that I felt when hitting clubs and dancing to her as a 16 year old. Casanova Brown was delivered with such feeling as was Portuguese Love. A member of the audience asked about the secret (referring to Rick James) and Teena's response was quick witted. Then followed a tribute to the great funkster himself. Saxophone, lead & rhythm guitar and funky deep bass all played major parts in keeping the gig so much livelier than a party atmosphere. I also enjoyed the backing harmony and of course, her nephew's vocal talents. Tenna’s daughter’s microphone did not do her any justice …it was difficult to hear her voice. The newer tracks were also thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, a fantastic night for all, I could go on about it for a long time to come. But instead, I’ll go to see her again in June.

It was my first time,at the indigo O2 Thought that the venue was very good,the DJ's before the show were very profesional and Lady T was amazing.....Her show lasted for 2 hours and her voice was like listiening to birds singing. Hope to see her again in June.

Well it was an honour...I still weep when she does "Fire and Desire". Skanking to "Portuguese Love" c'est amusant! A team affair with daughters and nephew a singing. She has so much energy on stage and IndigO2 is where I wanna c all my gigs..Teena Marie says she's back in June...whose there?...on an off beat note...i...f this is what transport is like for a concert containing a couple of thousand ... the Olympics is gonna need a lot of help...perhaps they'll out source it...

Venue :~ IndigO2 fantastic Venue perfect for smaller gigs and I loved the fact that it becomes a club afterwards that plays music from the same genre...just a metion about security Team I smoke and I was directly quickly to the correct area, and politley!!! nice touch they had great customer skills you must have searched the cream of the 'security' crop! it's a genius place!
Teena :~ Excellent, Teena can still belt 'um out it's just been to long! That is some voice mmmmmm!
CD signing :~ I cant express how disapointed I was with Teena not turning up to the signing.... and the way I was treated after it was announced she was signing over the speakers in the venue.
This event was a Christmas present to my partner who absolutley adores Teena, ....I booked the tickets.........booked the hotel .... then signed merchandise? It would have been the icing on the cake!!! But Disaster Struck!!!!
I heard the announcement, but partner ( Doting Teena fan) didn't as he was enjoyning and dancing, I decided to slope off and get him the signed merchandise as another surprise.... at first I didn't realise that Teena was actulualy going to personalise them but was told by members of her team? So obviously I decided to wait.....there was a man, balding , hair on the sides who became quite agitated because I was waiting..... he was quite rude although the other ladies there were very pleasant.....we were told to form a queue over there........then over here ......over there then on the stairs where one of your security staff annouced to all the fans that she left the building???? Poor man!
After this bombshell, I decided to go back to the desk where her crew were just to ask to send a mesage to Teena that my partner had really enjoyed the show and he had been at her Hammersmith show years ago.... and yet again I was greeted by the 'funny man' who was ever so friendly, he just didn't want to know! I bought 2 albums at £15 each which my partner has allready!!!!
Thats where the show lost hte 5 star..........He was a 'funny man' issues!

At the Indigo2 along with the rest of the audience who attended this sold-out concert, Teena Marie along with her band performed brilliantly. Playing all her classic tracks [Square Biz, It Must Be Magic, etc] along with a fine tribute to the late Rick James.

Teena announced she plans to come back to the UK in June 2010. If your a fan and missed out on this concert, I would recommend you go and see her if comes again.

An enjoyable evening.

Without a shadow of a doubt this was the best event I have been to and believe me when I say that's no mean feat.

Not only did my girl rock the house with an AMAZING set singing all her classics. I was very privileged to sit a chat with her after the event. As a true die-hard fan of Lady T I patiently waited around with a handful of others on the off chance of getting an autograph. Our patience paid off as we were all (about 6) invited to join Teena upstairs. I got autographs, photos and best of all we chatted!

AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Lady T was the best! A full two hour set not taken up with too much unecessary chat. She still has the voice that has made her one of the best soul singers ever! As well as guitar and bongo-playing, she had the energy to strut around the stage and engage the audience with stories of Rick James (although she gave nothing away!) Last saw her in 1991 at Hammersmith Apollo and she hasn't lost any of her fire and desire! Her band and BV's were also excellent - they looked like they were having a great time!
The Indigo room is one of the better music venues in London. No matter where you stand, I find the view is always good and the acoustics are excellent but unfortunately, I had the misfortune to be standing behind the tallest, widest, drunkest man in the place whose wild dancing and beer-throwing just spoilt my night!
Overall, a great evening with a great after-party!
