Having always been a fan of Level 42 and never having been to Hampton Court it was a great opportunity for one amazing day. Journeyed to the venue by river boat which was fantastic.
Arriving at Hampton Court found the whole atmosphere to be very friendly and the surroundings superb.
The performance by Level 42 was brilliant from start to finish - all the songs you would want them to play. Great bass as usual from Mark and very ably supported by the boys behind.

Level 42 were brilliant. They were clearly having a brilliant time and this came through to the audience. Would definitely go again, lovely setting. Shame about the staff not letting people dance though.

I enjoyed Level 42 as a youngster and was looking forward to the concert. Sadly I thought the sound quality at Hampton Court this year wasn't that good. Perhaps just the seats we had (middle stands) but we couldn't hear the lead singer very well, the base was overbearing (they are basey anyway but this was too heavy). Disappointing for these reasons, but the band did work hard at entertaining the audience, played well and involved the audience.

Great concert. Level 42 never let you down having seen them about 5 times over the last 20 years. I Look around in the audience and see all those happy faces as if it was 1980 again just a few more pounds around the waist. Mark King was impressive with his guitar skills aided by a a sparkling array of lights along the entire length of the instrument. My only issue was that the concert was not loud enough. Could it be that there are noise restrictions within the historic Palace Courtyard. Perhaps they were in danger of waking the local residents! The truth should be told.

Level 42 in a small venue, magic, felt almost like a private function. Am a definite fan of smaller venues and this is one must see band if you're into real musicians and real music. They just get better with time.
Small downside to the venue itself; a bit strict on do's and don'ts, telling everyone to stay seated etc but as the band came on everyone stood and started dancing so the fans won. On the whole great gig.
