Been waiting 25 years to see Kings X and whilst I enjoyed the gig it maybe wasn't that 'life affirming' experience you sometimes get when seeing bands you love. (And I do love Kings X)

To be honest one of my main gripes was the venue. I've not been to The Wulfren Hall but it has a bit of a 'school hall' type vibe, drab room, poor acoustics. So that was a negative. The support band (Klone) were horrific. French progressive metal with trumpets!!!! As bad as it sounds.

Had I not watched (and loved) the recent Live in London DVD. I would had probably rated this gig higher than I have. It was basically a very similar set - so there were few surprises. Maybe that was my main disapointment. Also not enough off Gretchen (they could play this whole album as far as I'm concerned!!

I still went home happy enough though. Not a classic but like I said still a great band!!

This was the 2nd time I'd seen King's X at Wolverhampton. Another excellent performance. The best three piece rock band around in my opinion. Very good interaction with their audience. Superb tightness as musicians and despite some songs being 25 years old they were played with fun and freshness as if they were off their latest release.

I have waited 20 years to see King's X and was not disappointed in any way. Incredibly professional, yet with plenty of time to react to, and with their loyal fans.

However, coming out and visiting with all of us in the lobby afterwards was an absolute treat! The pleasure that gave to us fans and the looks of humble gratefulness from the guys showed a deep mutual respect. Truly an amazing night!

A bit hesitant before the gig. Literally 2 years ago since the band last played the wulfrun hall, and what a special night that was. Could it be bettered, could the band play like they did last time, tight, loud and faithful to the loyal playing snippits from the whole back catalogue.

Well, They did, and in my opinion were again top class. Doug, Ty and Jerry powered through a set which had everyone singing along, many highlights including playing Goldilox in the encore, which was sung by the crowd, another one of those hair standing up moments!!

Cant say enough about this band. if you missed it you are very unfortunate. Just hope the band come back again.

Another incredible evening with Kings X! This is the second time i have seen them at Wolverhampton and again i was proud to be a part of the Wulfrun Hall "Choir"! Three humble guys, amazing musicians, unforgettable songs, a night and memory i will take to the grave.

Usual contempt for the audience...searching the bags of middle aged guys and their wives...for knives? for dope...in a non-smoking venue? for food...in a venue that only sells peanuts?

Sick of being fleeced, treated like kids and patronised by so called 'promoters' and venue managers.

The whole place is toilet, reminiscent of swimming pool.

About my 5th Kings-X gig now....as usual, brilliant playing and great material.

Bass sound to die for.

Nice to see (hear!) sensible use of volume in such an acoustically terrible venue.

Isn't it time though that somebody taught lighting engineers to light from the front? Could barely see faces and instruments.

Once again a fantastic performance from the most over looked band in rock.

From start to finish these guys owned the stage and had the crowd in awe!

Tracks from the very first to the last album's made sure no one would feel left out of this wonderful evening.!
