A wonderful evening, Just Janis Ian, an acoustic guitar & some interesting stories. Her voice is still as amazing at 60. A great set list, a fantastic gig.

Location:Huntingdon Hall, Worcester

The evening was an "autographical performance" full of personal recollections which engaged the entire audience throughout. Accompanied only by her own guitars every
rendition was magical and full of emotion. One felt totally emersed in her life and music.
the anecdotes were weaved so naturally with the choice of songs and one felt as though she was sharing intimate moments with us. The atmosphere was warm and there was
almost the feeling of love in the room.
At the end of the show Janis was generous with her time in meeting people, signing
autographs and having her photo taken with anyone who asked (including me).

Janice Ian : an evening to treasure

She may look like a grandma with a guitar, but Janice Ian's voice is as sweet at sixty as at seventeen, and her guitar playing proves that she is a true master of her craft. There were tears (I willed her not to sing the song about her mother), there was laughter ("My Autobiography"), there were gay and civil rights, but most of all there was exquisite talent. The acoustics in Cadogan Hall are wonderful, and it was certainly the only time I have ever seen an artist abandon the microphone and sing without amplification at the end of the show. The encores and standing ovations said it all : a truly special evening that everyone present felt honoured to attend. Thank you Janice.

Just Janis, her guitar. her songs and amazing voice. What more could you want. We had a great evening as did the rest of the audience. Janis played a selection of her songs from over the years - Seventeen and Stars featured of course - and chatted about her life and her new autobiography. After the show she signed autographs and we had a brief chat. Lovely evening.

A great venue for a great gig. Janis Ian at the Haymatket theatre in Basingstoke. A wonderful evening with Just Janis Ian and her guitar (she actually had two guitars) she performed with all the dedication and passion of a true proffessional. She revealed a warm personality armed with an unexpectedly sharp and candid wit. Her guitar playing was excellent and although, as she mentioned, her voice has dropped a key or two she sang beautifully and I never once for a moment wished she'd had a band with her. A special evening I felt privilidged to experience. Thank you Janis.

At first, when she walked on the stage, I though oh oh what have I done, this little old lady and an hour and a half to go. How much do I really know about her. Just goes to show you can't judge a book by it's cover. Her voice was spot on. I knew all the songs bar one. She was funny, engaging, interesting and made that guitar sing. What a performer. I've been to a dozen gigs this year by different artists and she is the best so far. I'd go again at the drop of a hat. Thanks Janis for a great night it flew past and we were rewarded with a two hour set made up of two halves and the complete audience rose for a standing ovation at the end

Even though I have listened to her music for 25 years this was the first opportunity I have had to see Janice Ian live. The whole performance was excellent and showcased some of my old favorites along side some tracks that were new to me.

My husband and I both really enjoyed a thoroughly enjoyable evening. If she is ever over here touring in the future, Janis is a must see.

A very clear and entertaining performer/Artist.

We both would definitely go and spend and evening with her again.

Hope this message reaches Janis as she deserves all the credit.

And on the stage walked this tiny white haired lady...nobody breathed...you could hear a pin drop...and then she opened her mouth and it is as if the years have fallen away...both my husband and I had tears in our eyes throughout the performance...all the old songs and more...unplugged and awesome...we will alway love you, Janis!!!

Wonderful show, Janis fitted in most of the songs from 'between the lines' amongst a selection of her best work. The performance of every song was filled with real emotion in a way the album tracks could never have achieved. Long may she continue to tour.

Fantastic night slightly spoilt by the woman "sobbing" and talking in the seats in front of us. Janis was fantastic what a voice she has, and she really warms the crowd with her stories and sense of humour.

Fantastic as always. Unfortunately we do not get the pleasure of Janis's musical evenings nearly as often as I would like. How can you get the chance to hear the songwriter singing her many songs in such a short period of time. I was thrilled to hear Janis singing societies child live, as after reading Janis's autobiography, I was desperate to get a recording of societies child, which after a year I did. An inspirational lady.
