ive got to admit i was a little disapointed with the performance of flock of seaguls the only song he really got into was i ran but the others were not so good, the band didnot sound up to scratch the guitars were over powering the key board and his voice.I thought the support bands were brilliant they were sea fields and scarlet soho.

A real treat stepping back to see one of the greatest electronic bands of the 80's.

Dispite not touring in the UK very often, this was one worth waiting for to go and see, All the hits were there i.e. Communication, Wishing (I Had A Photograph Of You), I Ran etc.
as well as highlights from their albums and some new material as well.

Proving they can still pack in the crowds, the connection with the audience was superb especially at the gigs final stages as the belted out I Ran, and Wishing.

See the attached URL for a peformance from the guys in 2008 in Detroit as my Footage recorded on my phone did not turn out to be fantastic quality, but gives you some idea how fanatastic the bands music stills sounds. Enjoy!

The Flock of Seagulls concert was most disappointing. They rushed through most of their hits like they just wanted to get on and off stage as quick as possible. The sound quality was appalling it was far too loud and the sound was distorted. I even thought the support band Scarlet Soho gave a far better performance.

It was a lovely night hearing some of their most memorable hits like Space Age Love Song ,Photograph and I Ran but i just wished he hadn't shouted the lyrics but instead sang them . The group worked well together even though they are a new'ish backing group and not the original members . The support groups were excellent and were Sea Fields who are destined to be big and Scarlet Soho who equally deserve some success also .

The venue was great for the acts on show, sea fields had a bit of edge to them (big future) a really good act with a good mix of gritty tracks and rythmic tunes .The lead singer had a great voice reminded me of the guy from KEANE!! he was that good.The second band were AWFUL !!!!!!!!!!! , had a couple of fans next to me what a bunch of tosh i dont even know their name , they were suppost to be bigger than sea fields (no way), a couple of lively tracks to start with a lot of enthusiazm and i mean a lot , followed by a repetative steam of samey samey tosh .Let me explain the lead singer pretended to play the guitar and sing repetative drivell wilst pressing buttons for his backing music, the female keyboardist was playing like a five year old bashing down keys , the only talent was the other keyboardist who held what was best described as a mediocre band together.A Flock of Seagulls were a different matter did'nt know what to expect as i was a fan nearly thirty years ago but never got to see them , with all the changes in band members i was a bit pensive but was amazed they kept the same spirit and would have to say they are better live .MR GORE held it all together with a mix of great keyboards plus a great guitarist pulling it all together, a great night had.

Was great to see them after all these years. Musically they were just as good as they ever were, was just a little disappointed that Mike Score no longer sports his classic seagulls haircut. However they were excellent nonetheless.

Support bands were gud, esp the 80s band who talked to the audience, danced & give it their all, Flock of Seagulls boring & would not c them again.
