I took my then 'husband to be' to see this prior to our wedding, we loved it so much that we made Fast Car our wedding song! ...We have always loved her music but seeing her live was amazing. This show will always hold a special place in our hearts and we would recommend all fans to see her live. The atmosphere at the Roundhouse was electric, food and beverages reasonable... not much seating but we were lucky enough to have blue skies on the rooftop terrace! ....Can't wait to hear she is back in the Uk again as we will be getting tickets!

I was happy to see this gig but very angry at the people that talked through the whole show!!! why pay to see someone but not listen!! It,s very frustrating to block out the other noise.. Saw a show in my local area ( wedgewood rooms) and everyone was told it was silence during each performance,, what bliss to actually be able to hear clearly! maybe it,s a thought for future gigs........

The lady has such a nice personality. She exudes a wonderful vibe, a feeling a goodness around her - Lovely face, lovely smile with such dulcet tones...and what a singer songwriter she is...songs with such an emotional pull - Baby can I hold you, Fast Car, Talking about a revolution which took me back to the Mandela concert - Of course we sang along to all of them. Every song and instrumental delivered with real class. She even threw in a great version of Money - Barrett Strong/Beatles...and just when I thought she had let me off the hook - she finished with The Promise - They'll play that at my funeral....

I really enjoyed the show as it brought back memories of my youth! It is just so great to just listen to Tracy and her backing musicians just play some great songs. The atmosphere in the venue was wonderful as well.

The first experience of the Roundhouse could not have been more appropriate than being treated to the humble and music brilliance of Tracy Chapman! From the vocal excellence of Across the lines to the dreamy Fast car she played old and new tracks with the same emotional panache as when she first burst onto the scene in the 90's.

The unique athmosphere the Roundhouse creates made for a very special venue to see one of the legendary storytelling vocalists of our times! Thank you!

She is a fantastic singer and her band was ace. Been a fan for more years than I care to remember..didn't actually think I would ever be lucky enough to see her in the flesh. Oh...and what flesh! She is such a sweet pleasant person. Is she really genuinely shy, or just a good actor? Whatever it is, the crowd just fell in love with her. I know she doesn't tour that much but even so, one concert must just blurr into the next, but I do hope that she enjoyed that night..... I know it's work for her, but she really looked like she enjoyed it and I hope it was real. One or two low points that shattered the otherwise perfection of her vocals and the band's instrumentals where the times when she and some of the band sat down on stage. It was too low and 80% of the audience just couldn't see her and were shouting "Stand up tracy" "Stand up". The other low point was the fact that whispers of Micheal Jackson's demise were already spreading around the crowd before the concert finished at about 11 pm. In spite of that, it is a night that will always be remembed by me as the night I saw Tracy Chapman, and not the simply the night Micheal died.

She sounded great, she played for over two hours, she started on time and it was nice to sit outside and have a drink beforehand.

The roundhouse was cool and airy and the only bad feedback was the people that talked the whole way through!

Show started later than expected with no information given. Very few seating areas while waiting and very long queues for refreshments. The food was overpriced and not very vegetarian friendly.
Once inside the venue it was very cramped and i can honestly say that i caught just one glimpse of her as many people were standing in front of me. That kind of concert would be much better in a seated venue.
Luckily she sang my favourite songs near the start so i could make a quick exit. Many people seemed to be leaving early as they had had enough of not being able to see or hear her properly in some cases. In fact the venue was so poor that i couldn't hear what she was saying when she spoke due to the low ceiling by the bar and many people talking.
A great voice and some lovely songs, but the venue was wrong and it should have been seated.
As for the toliets, four cubicles none of which had any paper a poor show for a great artist.

I went with my son who is 31 and grew up with tracy c music a brilliant concert nothing even compares to her voice, the venue was fantastic, although I feel he has been spoiled as it was his first life show. The mixture of new and old was nicely balanced.

Sadly this was the night that micheal jackson passed away a bitter sweet evening but I would not have wanted to be anywhere else.

The words to her songs have meaning real meanings not just soppy words.

What a fantastic evening. Tracy Chapman couldn't disappoint if she tried. Her voice hasn't changed at all and she still looks like a young thing. The old songs brought tears to eyes and her new work brings with it her love of humanity and making our world a better place. A special treat to see her again after all these years.

Had the pleasure of finally getting to see Tracy Chapman live... she doen't tour too often but have missed my chance many times before.

An unforgetable evening, chilled out.. she instantly made you feel part of something special. All her hits and more from her new album. A cool, inspirational lady!

she was brilliant!!!!! came onto stage like any normal person no big fuss and talked to the crowd about her time in london...
she then played some of her classics and new songs for 2 hours staright with no break.. this amazed me and showed her true talent!!

Tracy played all her hits and some new stuff too - great event... perhaps a little too many people were in the Roundhouse for this gig. I saw quite a few people faint from the heat and lack of air circulation in the packed standing area.

I will never forget walking out of Tracy's gig to the breaking news that MJ was dead.

First time at the Roundhouse, great venue. I enjoy the big bands, but smaller concerts have much more appeal these days. Who better to share an intimate experience with than Tracy Chapman...I want to be like her. Cool stage presence and amazing voice.

Tracy was brilliant her voice is incredible and all the members of her band were real characters. Tracy switched from guitar to a funny african drum thing for certain songs which was fun :) She sang wonderfully, the crowd loved her - there was a fab atmosphere, and she took requests too. I've never been to see an artist that roused such a diverse crowd - there were people from all walks of life there, it was great!
The only reason I didn't give her performance five stars is because she played quite a few new songs which nobody knew, and also, the show started like an hour and a half later than it was supposed to for some reason, I think because their was difficulty dealing with Tracy Chapman and Noah and the Whale, which were both on at the Roundhouse on the same night.

I've liked Tracy Chapman ever since I was introduced to her music as a child so it was great to get the opportunity to see her in London, especially at a venue that is so local, easily accessible and has such great acoustics.

I'd definitely recommend going to see Tracy Chapman but if you can't see her, go to the Roundhouse for other gigs, it's a great venue.
