Me and my Mum (84) are fans of Paul Brady..flying from Manchester to stay at the Jury's Inn Hotel to see Paul.
His first set was mostly solo...and he was using just condenser mikes which picked up his voice and guitar with a very natural sound..
In the second set, he'd got a fantastic young bunch of musicians together to join him on stage: keyboards, cajon and percussion, electric guitar, bass and 3 very beautiful young women vocalists!! Magic

I first saw Paul Brady & his band back in 1984 at the Dominion theatre in London, he was brilliant then & I have follwed him ever since. At the Tyne theatre gig Paul showcased his new album Hooba Dooba, but still played all his classics including my all time favourite song Crazy Dreams. One of the highlights of the evening was Lakes of Ponchartrain, a great song which showcased Paul's guitar playing. The band, some of whom have been playing with Paul since 84 were amazing, I liked Bill Shanley's choppy style of guitar playing, which backed up by Steve Fletcher, Keyboards & Jenny Maidman, Bass, & Liam Genockey on drums, provided a forceful & driving sound, special mention for Sarah Siskind who opened the show in fine style & sang backing vocals with Paul & the band. The night was mighty Craic, Paul just gets better each time I see him.....If you ever get the chance to see this gifted & passionate live performer, grab at the chance, I have loved his music for 26 years & have even converted my 20 yr old daughter to his music ! the gig ws magic & in the words of the man himself....Hooba Dooba !!

PB presented a array of styles of songs from his marvellous songbook backed with a tight, seasoned band ( and his eye-candy support as backing singer) - captivating and how this underlined Paul' s status as a songwriter and tunesmith and performer!!
My only gripe was that there wasn't more time (another 5 hours?) to present more of our favourites.

The time Paul was on stage with his incrediable band flew over. His ramge of musicability and varirety was mind blowing. His band of musicians were with him and they all seemed to have so much fun playing for us. at the end Paul and his band got a well deserved standing ovation.

This was a truly excellent concert from one of Ireland's most treasured performers. His band were good in songs from throughout his long career. My favourites were the earlier songs but his newer material was very good with his recent tinge of Caribbean influence. I wish him well with the rest of the UK tour.
