We have loved his music for years but we have never seen him live. I got the chance to book the acoustic event in Oxford and did so as a birthday surprise for my wife. Was worried that it would be a bit flat and dull given how powerful many of his songs are with full band. But it was just an amazing evening of Bryan, acoustic guitar and stunningly good pianist. Bryan's voice is fantastic, his energy unending and he played all his best songs and many more from over the years for over 2 hours. In such a small theatre, too, the effect was even stronger. We were "buzzing" when we came out.... Fantastic.

A seasoned Bryan Adams concert-goer, I still found myself tingling with excitement at the prospect of an intimate acoustic set from the Canadian rocker - and I wasn't disappointed! Bryan Adams exuded charm and charisma as he performed an incredible set and injected recollections and highlights of his career over the last 30 years! I will take vivid memories of some of his true classics, such as Summer Of '69, Please Forgive Me (complete with a Country twang) and Everything I Do, as well as some of the lesser known tunes like I Want It All and When The Night Comes.

what a great oppurtunity to see such a taleneted artist in a small close setting, the sound was fantastic although i wasnt sure if an acoustic set would work, how wrong i was!,after going to see him 3 times before at wembley stadium this was so refreshing as the venue was so much smaller and you could take in alot more of the atmosphere

I have been waiting to see Bryan for 10 years and I haven't been disappointed at all, either by his gig at the Arena last November which was amazing & by his accoustic concert at the City Hall which was just as amazing! Although it was a bit expensive- 70 pounds altogether- it was well worth it!
He sang some songs from his new album "11" but also, lots of old ones, either on his own with his guitar or accompanied by a pianist... He set the room on fire as soon as he went on stage- after the 1st song, almost the whole room was singing out loud & everyone was standing for "Summer of 69"! As usual, he made me cry when he sang" Everything I do" - another hit- as well as "Please forgive me" and " All for love" for which he sang all 3 parts...
Bryan has proved that despite nearly approaching 50, he is still a great performer,
whose songs are still popular & who hasn't lost his energy & sex appeal!

I have seen Bryan Adams now on numerous ocassions, and he never fails to give an outstanding performance. His live shows are absolutley fantastic & he always seems to sing the right songs that the crowd wants to hear. This is the first time I have seen him doing an acoustic gig & in a smaller venue at Newcastle City Hall, & although he could have chose to fill Newcastle Metro Arena again which he always does, it wouldn't have given the same personal/intimate touch given the set up of the show. I love Newcastle City Hall for shows as I always feel you become more involved & closer to the artist/Band, and this is how I believe he made everyone feel that night - Part of it & special to be there. Bryan Adams delivered a brilliant show, which no-one ever wants to end. Covering his older hits - Thought I'd Died & gone to Heaven (One of my all time favourites) to songs from his last album 11, he was just fantastic. Anyone who may not be a fan should definitely go & see one of his shows & I can assure you, you would not be disappointed ever. Keep on Rocking Bryan - I will be a fan & come to see your shows for as long as you still want to entertain us all. Sheer brilliance!!!

Really disappointed at the inordinate amount of time we were kept waiting for him to arrive, and very angry that we were told only the CDs handed to us would be signed, and no photos were to be taken.
As it turned out Bryan was very obliging and did sign other items and did agree to photos being taken, but we had so little time with him, I dont believe it was worth the money.

the whole concept of this tour was Bryan Adams on his own with a guitar, he did have some support from a pianist of some songs, but the songs were very much bare to the bone. And this really was the interesting point, you could see/hear how good the songs were, as it never felt like they lacked anything, the whole crowd was responding on the choruses and it felt like the whole audience was the band.
Bryan was extremely funny and kept on making jokes or telling some stories on the songs.
The who show lasted for over 2 hours, I think we probably went through 30 songs which was incredible.
I also was fortunate enough to attend the meet & Greet and have a CD signed, a bit of a chat and a picture taken with Bryan. This was a great moment, as we spoke a bit in French together when he realised that's where I am from.
Really a great gig and I would go as far as doing the whole UK tour next time he does this kind of low key tour.
Even if you only know Bryan's hits, I would recommend seeing him in concert as he makes sure, thanks to shear passion and energy that everybody is on the bus for the whole duration of the gig!

on paying to do the meet and greet ,i was so excited to be standing next my idol and have a picture taken to treasure forever,, instead he sat behind a desk and signed a cd, that everyone had anyway, he said hello and moved on to the next person in the queue! There were not pics alowed to be taked and he would not sign some pics or shirts that other people had taken along .I know he has not got forever to this but as we were alowed to take fotos during the show then surely it would not have hurt to have one pic taken with people who paid alot of money to meet someone they truely admire ,
i will not make this mistake again

The evening started well, being allowed in 3/4 of an hour before everyone else. We were invited to have a free drink and crisps while waiting for Bryan to come into the bar.
The only disappointment was that you could only have 1 photo per person while he signed his latest album for each fan. That seemed a lot of money to pay, but it was my wife's present for our 10th wedding anniversary, so she was pleased.
The performance from Bryan was superb, over 2 hours of none stop singing. He was cracking jokes with the audience and explained some of the background for writing his songs.
Half an hour before the end of the show, Bryan welcomed us the audience to come to the front of the stage to take photos (no flash) and dance away. At one point a lady in a wheel chair got lost in the crowed and Bryan asked people to move so she could see.
Bryan was very switched on to the crowed and made it a very enjoyable evening.

Have been a fan since Reckless & one of my favorite Bryan Albums albums is "MTV Unplugged". Well this is as unplugged as it gets. Bryan Adams with an acoustic guitar & accompanied on some tracks by a piano. When you can sing like this who needs a band. Set in Nottingham Royal Centre it was a superb event. I would definitely go again.

Bryan Adams acoustic show was amazing. Having seen him many times with his band, it was certainly very different but just as good. It was particularly good to see him in a smaller more intimate venue. The sound was brilliant and Bryan's voice was wonderful. I will definitely go and see Bryan the next time he tours, whether it is another acoustic show or back with the band. Bryan is the best!

Usually musicians sound better on the albums than life, not to mention acoustic, during this gig i thought the songs sound even better than on the album; the sound quality was great, some accompanied by piano, he played all great hits, faster and slower songs, and some from the newest album. All the time there was a great interaction with the audience, which ended up all standing, and some song request that were played at the end.

After seeing Mr Adams at Newcastle arena last year I was dying to get a chance to see him again and the accoustic set at the city hall did not disappoint! He sounds exactly like he does on the cd's and it was spine tingling listening to him. His banter with the crowd and his stories going back to when he was starting out and first trying to crack the UK were also a joy to listen to. His lyrics are fab and he performs every song with real emotion.
Bryan is a decent, hard working, fantastically talented musician and singer who has stood the test of time - I would see him again in a heart beat even though you pay at least £65 for the privelege but it is sooooo well worth it - I Love you Bryan!!!
