Toots rocked the house. Whole place was jumping and the only bad point was that it ended!
Don't think I have ever left a gig with a bigger grin on my face. Just awesome!

Toots and the Maytals are great. They put on a fabulous show. My only complaint is that I have been to see them at least 4 times and they have never played my favourite song which is Spiritual Healing. Hope they play it next time.

Toots & the Maytals - Friday night - ABC Glasgow - rocked the place! He has still got the Magic. All the love and energy was flowing two ways. The band and the Girls were terrific too. There was a mixture of all ages - it didn't seem to matter at all - quality's quality. We were all dancing about like maddies and jumpin up and down - we were melting, Jamaica-style. The audience were champin for Toots to come back again and again and were roaring for him - could have gone on all night. He didn't look jaded at all by all his years in the business. Bless him! More power to his elbow! Would have loved him to finish up with Peace, Perfect Peace... the audience might have accepted goin away better then...Haste ye back, Toots!...or we'll have tae visit Jamaica...x

The doors opened an hour late but the band came on with half an hour of us getting in .this is my first time in the Liquid room, it is a small venue so was quite crowded. Why do tall people always want to stand in front of us shorter people it's very annoying.
The and wet great but ther were some issues with Toot's mike but you could still hear him signing fom where we stood. They played loads of classics and ended on the great 54-46 was my number.
Another note on the venue one narrow stairway in and one narrow stairway out and it causes a massive bottle neck, but all in all a good evening seeing one of the bands of my youth.

Gripping the audience from the first number, Toots and his band were on fantastic form. Great music, lots of rhythm and love. Awesome .. enjoyed it so much that`I went to see them in Glasgow the next night!

Been a Toots fans for many years but the first time I have caught them live. Great tight set with a rhythm section like a steam engine. They are as fresh now as their original waxings on Trojan. Had a request to meet with Toots the next morning and agree some musical collaboration and some more that will have to stay behind the clock for now. Catch them if you can!

The local support band - Capt Accident and the Disasters - were an excellent and more than competent warm up. They made up for the outrageous bar prices (£10 for a litre of cider!). Just before the main act Toots's daughter (also a backing singer in the band) gave us two sub-sou; songs. Stick to the backing singing pleaseeeee. Then Toots was on - into Pressure Drop, then a few songs I wasnt familiar with - all good. Thru Reggae Got Soul, more good stuff and into Monkey Man. Audience of over 50's and just over 20s bopping at the front. Sound levels good, musicians in time and in tune, atmosphere friendly. More rocky and heavier than they sound on the albums, and all the better for that. Brilliant gig.

one of the best gigs ive been to although it seemed a bit on the short side,just over an hour we reckon,he opened up with pressure drop and once monkey man came on we were in a dancing frenzy,toots energy on stage is amazing and he kept it up til the end!would recommend toots to everybody!

The toots were wicked as always but the sound in Tripod was rubbish. The band was affected by it for a while and so was the audience. Very disappointed, again with Tripod. Late start too but LOVED THE TOOTS.
