The gig was really good, one of the best two I've been to in the last 10 years. The band were all excellent and the vocalists superb. I'll go again if they return to the area!

We booked this event after seeing them on Jools Holland and were not disappointed. They have been around a long time and have forged themselves into a tight unit where the distinctive instrumental sounds and voices could be heard clearly. The music is a real mix of folk and rock with some really lovely individual songs.
It was good that the lead singers June Tabor & John Jones talked to the audience about the Band, their music and a little bit about their history to make them feel involved.
It's a pity the Bar was closed when the show finished as it would have been good to chat to them over a drink and find out more about their long career, which I think has many years left to run.
Thoroughly enjoyable and a bit different to what we would normally see.

The June Tabor & Oysterband combination works so well. A combination that blends together like the finest chocolate You can't get enough of it! June's haunting, powerful and tender vocals & JJ's strong, rockin' and heartfelt delivery were sublime. They covered many songs from Ragged Kingdom ('that was my veil', a particular highlight), sounding even better than on their superb recordings. Each song was introduced with witty and interesting comments, adding to the atmosphere and the bands connection with the audience, (which surprisingly wasn't to the venues capacity). Quite simply one of the best nights of music I have be privalaged enough to witness.

Great venue, great musicians. The performance was flawless. The sound mix was perfect and the vocal harmonies amazing. Highlight for me was their rendition of 'Love Will Tear Us Apart.
