Fantastic occasion to finally see a legend in the true sense of the word, Leonard Cohen, live! We all enjoyed being in the palm of his hand hanging mesmerised on his every word. The love between Leonard and the audience was almost palpable. 10/10 to this great Arena and the sound engineers for the sound. It was as perfect as I have ever heard at any concert and so important - we did not miss a word or a note. The quality of the musicians was awesome, especially the Barcelona guitarist Javier Mas and the man on the "instrument of wind", Dino Soldo. The English Webb Sisters and his writing collaborator American Sharon Robinson were perfect as backing singers and their respective solos on "If it be your will" and "Boogie Street" were made in heaven!
Thank you Leonard for performing these wonderful songs with such passion and as if you were singing each one for the first time, just for us.

Favourite moment: I'm still smiling at the memory of his hop, skip and jump exits from the stage, like a small boy who knows he's done something insufferably clever. @
Opening act(s): Suzanne Vega - another fan who seemed to feel privileged to be there, and on her birthday too @

Almost everyone I know in Ireland went to see the Master in Dublin last year - and they're still talking about it. The weather at Weybridge was vile, raining a little a little of the time, and a lot a lot of the time - and Leonard Cohen was just wondrous. His voice is better than when I was first listening to him 35 years ago, as famously deep and grumbly as ever on the bass notes but more flexible and rich on the rest of his range. His band is superb. But more than that he created an extraordinary atmosphere, of respect for what he was doing, of affection for the people he was working with and for the crowd. It was just another stop on a long tour, but it felt special. It was an event that seemed, and it feels cheesily embarassing to say so, full of love. People left drenched and smiling at strangers.
