Charley Pride was amazing

Favourite moment: Just seeing him appear on stage....closely followed by getting near to him at the end of the show. @

Opening act(s): The Pridesmen put on a great opening........the fiddle player was also had a very good voice. @

Charley Pride is still up there with the best! He was every bit as good as the last time I saw him over twenty years ago. Would have been really pleased if he'd come a wee bit further north to Aberdeen, However there was no way I was going to miss the chance of seeing the great man and hope this was not his farewell tour.

Charlie was brilliant as always :-)
very professional. Could have stayed alnight.
Pity about the p*** artists jumping around infront of everybody and talking and shouting. Several people told them to be quiet but to no avail.

Coming from Birmingham, we hadn't been to Liverpool Philharmonic before, WOW, a theatre for the city to be proud of, even down to the guys running the Cafe, very cheerful and helpful. As for Charlie Pride, great to see him live and to hear all the old standards again. Great band to warm up the audience and they played some memorable songs to get the evening off to a great start. Spent the weekend 'reviewing' Liverpool ONE shopping centre (worth a visit, very clean and tidy with a good mix of chain stores) and then The Beatles Story - we've visited before many years ago and it's been extended and improved. I'm a proud Brummie through & through but WELL DONE LIVERPOOL, we will be back!

The concert was relaxed and low key, Charley voice was as good as ever, the mix of material was Fab . However, you forget he is 74 , how many 74 year old s could do what he does , but it was sad he see how he had slowed up. Should have had a stool to rest on.

I checked out some earlier utube video' s and he was very relaxedand lay back in them also ,its just his style .

He was great.

The supporting act were very good, the venue was lovely, even though we were high up we still had a good view. Charley himself was amazing, for a man of his age his voice was still fresh and sounded the exact same as his records, and of course he done his obligatory signing of personal autographs at the end of the performance. The only thing that marred the night slightly, was the noise and commotion coming from the bar area - there were a lot of traveller/gypsies at the event who were very rude, noisy and at times - were shouting at each other across the room - I thought the security staff could have done more to quieten them down as it did slightly spoil the night for those who were just there to see Charley sing.

Charley was great but shame about the 800 tickets out of the 2,000 allocation that were given to the traveller community. There behaviour spoiled the show for almost everyone there!
