What a brilliant band! Seen them twice now and ordered their cd, Routes to Riches, the very next day after their gig at the Café de Paris in the summer. I CAN put my finger on it - lol - the music moves you in more ways than one, with all new songs, soulful and funky with touches of Marvin Gaye and Santana in there somewhere, but brought right up to the minute and made completely their own. Great style and stage presence, great guys, great act. And I've seen some BIG ones in my time, inlcuding Black Sabbath, Free, Mott the Hoople, Rose Royce, BB KIng and Peter Green. Mamas Gun should be MUCH bigger than they are now in the UK. Can't wait for the new cd!
