A production primarily presented by the Kennedy schoool of performing arts, which my child attends, with the added surprise of a contribution from the South Manchester School of Ballet.
The pupils, from the 3 year old tots to the upper seniors and above worked their socks off to produce fantastic pieces and the choreography was superb, it was like having a Las Vegas chorus line in Manchester at times.
My one criticism, and it is only one, was the sound. The music was so loud we couldn't hear the students sing during some of the numbers, and again, fab excerpts from The Wiz and Annie, but other than Dorothy and the Scarecrow, we barely heard what the performers were saying, which was a shame and something I also noted at Kennedy's production last year.
The ballerinas were superb, on a bit too long and too often, but they all got a chance to shine.
The programmes were only a £1.00 this year, which was a vast improvement on the £5.00 of the previous year!
The parents of any of those pupils should be so proud of those children last night, I know I was xxx
