After slightly disappointing warm-up or supporting acts, as soon as the lights went down and the CGI intro video began to play, the entire audience knew they were about to witness a truly proffessional performance.
With such a vast back catalogue of music, including chart topping hit singles, it was always going to be interesting how 50 was going to create his playlist. A good mixture of his more familiar tracks and latest efforts from his most recent studio album provided consistent energy and involvement for the crowd.
Not forgetting one of 50's crew members Lloyd Banks and the charasmtic DJ Whoo Kid who somewhat suprised the audience with short breaks from the playlist with a Bob Marley tribute and a short blast of a famous Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg track.
Banks went on to perform some of his own hits including his brand new single 'Beamer, Benz or Bentley' which is sure to be as bigger hit with UK Hip Hop audience as it is in the USA.
Along with the music, the light show was incredible and really was the icing on the proverbial cake so to speak. A hypnotic blend of greens, reds, pinks, purples, blues and whites all synchronised with the beat really contributed to the overall experience.
As with most good things, it all came to an end too quickly but that's not to say the show was too short, more that i was enjoying myself so much, time simply flew by. Although before the end some banter from 50 and the crew provided lots of laughs as 50 informed us that 'his time was up' and 'it was £5000 for every 10minutes the show went over' - as you'd expect from a multi millionaire this was met with a broad smile and 'couldn't care less attitude' which pleased the crowd and gave a perfect intro to the ending and last couple of tracks.
To conclude, it is easy to see how and why 50 and his crew are so successful, a really great show and i can't wait for the next one.
