Recently moved to area so first visit to this annual event.
Well organised, great entertainment, and it even stayed dry!
Well worth the money - will definately go next year.

I did not realise that this event was in its 10th Year and had always meant to book a ticket. This year I managed to obtain tickets on the front row - Stand C row A. The day was very enjoyable and the tennis was great. The sun decided to come out that day which make it even better. I would recommend booking a ticket. Looking forward to next year already!

Paying a return trip to this event. We were very lucky with the weather, considering the Friday & Saturday wash-outs! Saw some excellent exhibition tennis, especially the incomparable Mansour Bahrami. The most competitive tennis was saved for the last match, when local lad Harry Meehan beat a Davis Cup player from Africa. Hope Harry can get the necessary sponsors/coaches to enable him to make progress.
The attendance was a bit disappointing, but what with the weather this summer.....?

We arrived in good time and sat in a tent for 5 hours waiting for weather to clear and tennis begin. The ground inside and outside the tent was water logged, no attempt had been made to put down any form of straw or boards to enable walking. No information was given out to the tent full of people.
In the end, we were given the information that play would not start and went home.
A thoroughly disappointing experience for my birthday treat.
The facilities were very poor.

So unfortunate to have a rainy day, but the play we did see was disappointing. The tennis itself was mediocre, in our opinion, with the players only playing a 'kind of'' exhibition set. (the men) The girls played a demonstration type tie break to 10. We realise that we would much prefer to have seen a proper competition.
The actual tennis village set up was most impressive, as were the commentators, including Allan Mills. We felt that it was the format that was at fault.

First time visitor to calderstones i bought a weekly ticket and attended every day Martina Navratilova and Martina Hingis matches were excellent.Thoughts on the tournament its self.
Having attended many tournaments over the years i felt it lacked choice in only having the one court for the public to view .When walking around a lot of people where trying to view the practice courts but couldnt really see anything.Only those people who had vip passes were aloud to view.I think it would improve the tournament if they were to open up a public standing area so visitors could view the pracice sessions
I read before attending that there were problems in previous years getting people in to the stands on time.With only 2 people taking tickets the last 2 days play was put back 30 minutes to allow everyone to get in.It would be better to have 2 more entrances and then there wouldnt be problems with the queue.
The 2 toilet areas, the toilets by the box office had sinks and running water,the porta loos had a foot pump system for flushing the toilet and getting water from the sink, the toilets got blocked and the sinks had no water coming out of them for the week i was there.It would be better to have an outside tap so people could wash there hands and also to have toilet attendants at both areas to keep them clean and restock toilet paper.
Over all it was an enjoyable week of tennis watching and i would recommend a visit.

Very enjoyable day, apart from the queues getting in as there were not enough staff to cope with the amount of people attending, but it has been the same in the previous years that we have attended. Also the toilets were of a very low standard considering they were used before play had even started

What a great day! Event was well organised - as usual and the atmosphere was great. We went on the Sunday for Legends day and watched several excellent matches. The highlight for all of us( grandparents + children as well) was the amazing Bahrami! Let's hope funding will continue for this fantastic event in Liverpool.

This was the first tome we have had seats on the side of the court and we found that we were unble to see properly due to fact that the "stepping" not being acute enough. Also our seats were behind the guard railing above the entranc/exit so could not see at all.!! We moved to other seats but our view was still poor.

Always wanted to go to Calderstones Tennis Tournament, but for one reason or another never made it, but know now how much I have missed out over the years! The day was excellent, helped a little by the weather being the best day of the week, but all the same, was incredibly exciting and so amazing to be so close to such champions of the sport. Well recommended and will be going every year from now on!

2011 Liverpool Tennis was great the weather held out and we had good seats. If you like Tennis then it is certainly good to go here. I do feel that outside area needs more stalls as this is an area that is lacking in things to do and look at. loved seeing the new players And loved seeing all the LEGENDS. We have been going for the last 5 yrs and looking forward to next years event.

Having been before, I purchased 4 x 'week' tickets for my local friends. We all enjoyed the experience tremendously - each day just got better & better. Special moments included seeing the local young ones play the professionals & watching the 2 Martina's match on Sunday morning. The visual event was promoted superbly by Alan Jackson & play was conducted in excellent spirit - a pleasure to watch. Long may Liverpool Tennis continue - it's a unique & enjoyable spectator experience & 'week' tickets give excellent value for money. We will definitely come again. But, advertise it more widely south of the Mersey - I'll do my bit!

This event just gets better year by year, not only do you get to see up and coming local talent you get to enjoy the magic and sheer genious created by the legends of the game.
The only drawback was again for the second year running, tickets bought at Ticketmaster UK were for seats that did not exist.
You are encouraged to purchase your tickets early especially when you have special requests like a disabled parent. Having done this the last 2 years i have been disappointed and annoyed to find on arrival the actual seats purchased did not exist. The ground staff are extremely helpful and alternative seats have been found but cannot take into consideration the comfort of my disabled Mom.
This event is the highlight of our year and although our enjoyment of the actual tennis could never be marred, the disruption and annoyance of having to be re-seated is disappointing.
Providing Ticketmaster with an accurate seating plan is surely not to much to ask...

The tennis was fabulous and a good mixed programme, with famous faces and also new up and coming local youngsters. A great platform for their careers. My negative comment was the seating arrangements. Firstly my seat ticket did not exist and when ushered to one nearby the view of the corner section of court play was obstructed by bars/railings. I was given a good seat in hospitality box, but this meant my head was going side to side all day. Not my ideal seat. It was obvious that all the railings were much higher positioned than previous and blocked a lot of the viewing around the court.
No doubt health & safety would be their answer !! Does not happen at wimbledon.
