I had seen media coverage and fantastic leaflets raving about Jade Millington Performers and how they are a quality dance group.
Missed the show one year, and promised I would take my 12yr old daughter the next.
One routine into it, and I was disappointed, my daughter kept glancing at me, as she did not want to tell me the same - but at the interval she asked if we could go home, I was relieved she agreed.
It would be great for friends and family to see what their loved ones had been practicing for, and what they had attained, but for a public event at £18.50 (the cheapest tickets!) I was disappointed and honestly taken aback by the lack of synchronization, flexiblity and lack of memory on the dance routines, the moves were far from innovative or original and seemed only slightly different variations one routine from another.
I FELT LIKE I HAD INTRUDED ON A SCHOOL CHRISTMAS GALA OR CONCERT, ONLY I HAD NO CHILD OF MY OWN IN IT!!!!
I could not recommend it to anyone, and sad to say that a lot of the dancers themselves did not seem to be enjoying themselves, but just trying to get the moves right so as not to be singled out later. I understand this may be nerves, but I thought I had paid for would be entertained by talented, semi professional dancers that night, so did my daughter.
We went home and had an early night instead!
