Another quick review from the Cropredy festival. I've seen 3 DM at Cropredy before, and I think also at another festival, so I knew I'd be in for a good time, and I wasn't disappointed. This is obviously folk-oriented music which fits with the general Cropredy ethos, but it's also the kind of thing that should appeal more widely. They play with enormous energy and enthusiasm and are well-suited to festivals, but I imagine are also good in smaller venues, especially if people are standing rather than sitting - their music makes dancing almost compulsory. I think the quality of their music is also improving - they played a couple of things from their upcoming album, and one almost seemed to be verging on prog - which at least from me is a compliment :) I think they almost spent as long in the signing tent afterwards as actually playing, despite the bursts of torrential rain on the people queuing, so they clearly went down well with the audience. Supposedly they were back by popular request, and as far as I'm concerned the request still stands.
