We loved the show - such talent and skill and the whole set was so evocative. All the solos were terrific. Alan Price and Cliff Bennett were great guests. You could see they were all enjoying themselves too. Sang all night. Totally recommended no hesitation.

An excellent evening. It has to be said that the majority of the audience were of a certain age (me included!) but this in no way detracted from a very good performance from all concerned. Its amazing how many of the lyrics of a 40+ year old song you can remember after the first few bars!! And Paul Jones hardly seems to have aged at all - just how does he do it!! A big thank you to all who took to the stage that night.

Absolutely fabulous concert, Paul Jones was brilliant just like being transported back to the sixtys. Alan Price was exceptional as was Chris Bennet. Overall a very very enjoyable night

Fantastic show, the group obviously enjoyed themselves as much as the audience did. Nice to know that the "oldie" groups can still belt it out vocally and musically. Would certainly go to see them again.

An evening of entertainment featuring the `evergreen` Alan Price,Maggie Bell,Chris Farlow & Zoot Mooney. The evening was splatered with many of Alan`s `hits` Hi Lily (which his mum got to record!) Simon Smith & the Jarrow song to name but a few along with some covers by other members of the band. Maggie Bell & Chris Farlowe still have powerful voices although Chris does not move round the stage too well these days! A very entertaining evening as I would have expected having seen them all perform before.

A real blast from the past, Price roams through his own back catalogue, blues standards and the inevitable House of the Rising Sun, plus stories and witicisms - lokk at this lot, you just got here in time it's like Madame Tussauds with sound!
Guests Zoot Money, Chris Farlowe, & Maggie Bell all did their stuff to great effect,
Special Mention to Tommy Bench on guitar for everybody, plus a fine version of Black Magic Woman - a bit different to Mick Fleetwoods Blues Band.

This show is Alan Price with his band, and guest spots for Maggie Bell and Chris Farlowe. Great tunes including Alan's greatest hits and sondgs such as Wishing Well & Midnight Hour.
The band is really tight - as you could hope for with performers of a certain age - and had some great finishes to the songs. A bit of funny chat from Alan, some excellent guitar from Bobby Tench. There were 2 brass players but unlike groups like Bill Wyman or Jools Holland the enlarged group didn't drown the musicality of the instrumental playing.
House of the Rising Sun which we have all heard so many times was treated in a new way.

Lot of old people in the audience ... and on stage !!!!

but we can still show these youngsters what good music and a good night out is all about.

Everyone was great. Pity there were not more in the audience to appreciate it.

ALAN PRICE HAS A NATURAL CALMNESS WHICH TRANSMITS TO THE AUDIENCE.

The programme promised a lot and it was not surprising it provided even more than it offered.
Alan Price leading the band was a strong force and older he might be but put everything into his performance, but perhaps that was because he was in his homeland of Newcastle.
The support artists, each had their own pedigree and shone when their time came to perform.
Altogether a terrific night.

No not ACDC or Sting or Knofler but 70 year old Alan Price. fantastic musician, really dry funny sense of humour and great selection of backing musicians especially Bobby Tench who could do a show on his own. All of his hits were there, really good versions of I put a spell on you, jarrow Song, Simon Smith and What a friend we have in jesus. Chris Farlow has the build of a darts player and looks like Ronnie Kray but his voice is still fantastic, Maggie Bell still belted them out big time and Zoot Mooney still showed he is a great keyboards player. All in all a great night, had people jumping in the aisles and would definitely go to another of the dates in the tour.

The whole show made me feel good about myself. To see such seasoned entertainers going for it, really lifted my spirits. Most of the stars are now in their mid 60's but it was a brilliant set, and Alan Price is just a master at his craft!!

What a fantastic evening. These people are true performers and all so very talented. This was live music at its very best. The icing on the cake was meeting Alan Price after the show. He was happy to chat and give his autograph to his delighted fans who all left the theatre with big beaming smiles. A night to remember for a long time.
