We attended the matinee performance of this sing-a-long on Saturday - it was fundamentally watching a DVD with sub-titles. A lady intorduced the performance explained the so called goodie bag - a napkin to cry into, 2 cards with numbers or pictures on, a glow stick.

The children in the audience were bored, confused and not amused. The parents were aghast at the lack of interaction and fun and the children made their own amusement by running about in the aisles well that is those that stayed after the interval.

Poor value, poor entertainment, I must remind myself I can buy a lot of DVDs for £115 - the price of tickets, travelling, parking and ice creams.

Not for the family, not for children - might be for a big party of Annie fanatics dressed up and ready to sing.

Appalling. It was just the film with the words to the songs in subtitles.

£50 for one adult and two kids to watch the film, daylight robbery. We thought there might be some kind of stage display or interaction. There was some 'warm up' person on at the beginning and halfway who seemed to struggle to get people in the mood.

Just a total waste of money.

Would give it 0 stars if it would let me.

Good event as usual, just a shame it was a matinee as not many people bothered to dress up, unlike the evening events I have been to where people really get into the spirit of it.

Other than that was a good afternoon out.

A complete rip off. £17.75 to see a film with a 3rd rate presenter. Loads of people left the show at the interval

MY DAUGHTER (AGED 7) AND I HAD A GREAT TIME AT SING-A-LONG-A ANNIE. THE ATMOSPHERE WAS BRILLIANT AND EVERYONE SANG THEIR HEARTS OUT. WE'LL DEFINATELY BE GOING TO ANOTHER SINA-A-LONG-A SOON.

Not what I expected. My 6 year old is 'Annie' mad but she was not impressed at all and was happy to leave early to do some shopping instead. Maybe it would be more suited to hen nights and maybe the atmosphere is different in the evenings but my little one didn't see the point in watching the same film she had watched many times at home, in a theatre, with a few actions thrown in for good measure. Booked to see the stage show instead and hope this will be a more exciting experience for my daughter.

I bought 8 tickets as it was my daughter's birthday. We are avid theatre goers and i thought i was buying tickets for a theatre production - To our horror they played the movie!
Have wrote a letter of complaint to the Playhouse.
