Great event ... evoked the distant memories of our youth .... the first time we all saw David was at Wembley Arena 40 years ago! Smokie and Hot Chocolate were great ... was least looking forward to Leo Sayer but I have to say he was really great and lots of fun.

Smokie, were good, leo Sayer got better when he stopped making stupid noises,
Davis Cassady, I have wanted to see David for a years, what a disappointment, he forgot the order of the songs, he forgot the words to songs, liked the sound of his own voice. Also he was rude to a member of the audience. He came across has being drunk. And a lot of the audience walked out.
After sounding negative about the show, Hot Chocolate were fantastic I would pay to see them again.

I was really looking forward to the concert, but I was quiet disappointed. The sound quality was very poor. And as for David Cassidy its a pity he didnt sing more than he talked.I now know why I never liked him when growing up, he liked the sound sound of his own voice, did not wait for him to finish his act, could not take anymore of him . The best act was Leo Sayer apart from age he has not changed, and knew how to put a show on.

Very disappointed with this event, booked tickets for my mums 57th birthday with some of her sisters. Smokie, Leo and hot chocolate were all very good but David Cassidy was appalling. The breaks between performances were un necessary and very tedious- no introductions were made prior to each act and quite frankly I've seen school performances put together better than this! Leaving David Cassidy till the end was also a big mistake in my eyes, as the last performer you'd expect it to be the best act but it left a very sour taste and put a complete downer on the whole evening. He called his fellow band members and stage crew "unprofessinal" you couldn't hear a word he was saying never mind when he started to sing! And the bits you did hear were awful!!
We were all looking forward to a fantastic weekend in Manchester but unfortunately we were very disappointed.

I had booked the VIP package for my mam and they loved the experience, were very disapointed by david cassidy as he was ill and couldn't do the songs they expected the hear, however Leo Sayer was amazing both pre show and on stage smokie & hot chocolate were very good as well.
however the photos that were taken with the artists before the show still haven't arrived!

Smokey were good but had to play as people entered the auditorium, it would have been good if there had been bell calls to get people in place before the show started. Hot Chocolate were good but a bit bass'y, a better sound check would have helped. Leo Sayer surpassed all expectations, a great performance with the correct balance of audience contact. There were quite long change overs between bands and it was getting late when David Cassidy came on, some people left early to avoid missing trains. Davids performance was not the highlight of the evening, again the sound check needed more work, in the first song we come hardly hear his voice over the band, although it did get better towards the end. Conclusion could have been much better.

After waiting 40 years to see my heart throb David Cassidy I was so disappointed with the Way he looked, the way he sang and the way he performed. He totally ruined my night.
I had paid extra to meet David before the show and to have my photograph taken with him (which I still havnt got) there was no rap our he just wasn't interested in meeting his few fans which paid a lot of money to have this honour, there was no " meet" and really he couldn't wait to get back to his dressing room, what a let down, but when the concert started, Smokie were ok Hot Chocolate were good and Leo Sayer was fine, then came David he couldn't sing ( he had a sore throat and temperature) he did only a few songs of his own and then left the stage. What a total waste of time and money and 40 YEARS !!!!!

Smokey were smokin' - wasn't a particular fan before but am now and would definitely see them live again - fantastic!
Hot Chocolate were smoooooth - loved them before and loved them again tonight - and not til after the concert did I realise it wasn't even Errol Brown as lead singer any more -his replacement is just as good!
leo Sayer - a bundle of energy that had everyone up and dancing -couldn't help yourself -he was a fantastic show man and thoroughly enjoyed him
David Cassidy . . . . . . everyone on their feet expectantly for his entrance - then gradulally watched as people sat down and stared at each other with disbelief!! This was not the David Cassidy of our youth with floppy hair and gentle songs! Screechy songs which he kept telling us were 'hits in America' and the B side of his first single!! Was very rude to a life long fan on the front row who used to write to him. Was arrogant and just not on this planet. Have heard rumours that he had larygitus but his voice was in tune and strong - just not singing the songs we wanted to hear. He looked like an anorexic with too much plastic surgery. Huge, Huge disappointment. We left after about 4 or 5 songs to find lots of other people doing the same - the carpark was at least a third empty by the time we got out. Would never go to see him again - prefer the Partridge Family image in my head and will try to pretend that part of Friday night never happened!!

Leo Sayer was the star of the show with the classics from Smokie and Hot Chocolate well performed. The stage setting was pretty barren and the light show limited - but the biggest disappointment was Mr Cassidy. Fluffed his guitar, rambled on, insulted an audience member and failed to win over the audience. Poor way to end the event with many leaving long before DC finished.

My friend and I booked tickets for this event as a trip down memory lane, trying to relive our youth. The seats we got were excellent and so was the whole show. The atmosphere was amazing. All the acts were wonderful and lived up to expectations. My highlight was Errol Brown singing all the songs I remembered from my younger days and not looking that much older, wish I could say the same. It was hard to think that all these wonderful people who entertained us were now pensioners. Where do the y get the energy from. Will look out for next years event and will certainly be booking again.

Can't believe all the bad comments about David Cassidy he was fantastic, I unlike a few on here I enjoyed listening to him talking and think he is passionate about his music! think all you lot where at another concert! Overall brilliant time Leo sayer was very good and sang happy birthday to my friend which made her day

Was fantastic and was suprised how many songs I knew but didn't realise was sang by these bands !
Smokie- fantasic - loved 'Alice'
Hot Chocolate - danced the whole time- Errol you sexy thing - fantastic
Leo Sayer - what can I say - was the best act of the night - such energy and what a fab voice, loved his session - danced the whole time x
David Cassidy - wow what a voice, only let down was he was not on long and just disappeared half way through a song, no notice, no goodbye - really disappointed !!!

I was 15 again and bopping away to Smokie and Hot Chocoate - both groups gave good performances churning out the familiar songs in a style and quality that were well worth the ticket price alone. It was a real shame they only had just over half and hour each and no encores! Then came Leo - who although he said he was poorly (and you knew from some of the notes he was) was such a showman and obviously enjoyed himself throughout his time on the stage - totally excellent! Finally David Cassidy. I had read the other reviews and think they're a bit unfair but his performance was more suited to a 'up close and personal' event rather than an arena. He wanted to explain things and talk about the influences on his life and it didn't suit the final offering of what had been a very lively night. He sang well enough despite the cold but would have been better as a first or second act. By that time - all just wanted to dance.

This promised to be a great line up, with three of the acts appealing to me and all four appealing to my wife - sadly she was to be disappointed.
We were fortunate to have front row seats towards the centre of the stage which gave us a worm's eye view of these wrinkly icons from our distant youth.
Smokie were a great opener for the show and soon had the crowd in the mood with a string of hits culminating in 'Alice' (with certain added vocals by the audience).
Next on was Hot Chocolate with Errol Brown as charismatic as ever and still with that familiar squeal in his voice. Their time slot was sadly too short to allow their full repertoire but they certainly did justice to the time they had with a selection of their biggest hits.
Then came Leo Sayer and for many, the highlight of the evening. With boundless energy and still cutting those high notes, he had the audience gripped - especially when he went walkabout through the crowd. Leo was a great showman and the star of the show that night.
And finally, for many of the ladies, the much anticipated climax but sadly a major disappointment - here was one of the biggest teen idols of the seventies standing before us. David Cassidy, hideously clad in tight lycra trousers and appearing detached from the real world as he tried to excuse a weak performance with a bout of laryngitis. To be honest, he didn't look too well, fair enough, but he just couldn't seem to connect with the crowd and rambled at length about his special relationship with his fans. He only managed to perform a few of his hits and made a very swift exit leaving many of his lifelong followers disappointed.

Great show really enjoyed going back to the 70's. Thought Leo Sayer was amazing he said he was suffering from a virus but it did not show in his performance. David Cassidy brought back some lovely memories of being a teenager again. Really liked the venue easily accessible and just the right size of venue.

Awful is the only word to describe David Cassidy. Having been a Marc Bolan fan, I was open minded about some of the acts. Smokie, Hot Chocolate turned out to be better than I thought. Saw Leo Say years ago and still was still impressed. David Cassidy embarrassing and after 10 minutes the place was emptying fairly quickly.
Was more than surprised to see as many men aged 50+ as women at this event dancing as well

As a David Cassidy fan it means we often have to watch a lot of other acts first until w get to the main event. Sometimes it is a long arduous wait but the acts who were on with him were really good and very enjoyable. Great songs to sing along and dance to and great memories of the 70s.

Smokey, Hot Chocolate and Leo Sayer were brilliant! Why ever David Cassidy was headlining I don't know. He spent more time talking about the old times and playing his guitar. He did sing a few songs but come on; a Deep Purple number and two Monkey's songs!! He did apologise for arriving late and not being able to do a 'sound check'. People in their dozens started walking out after the first song....!! He didn't even sing his best hits!!
