A nice evening out....2 and a half hours at the event for 7 games of footy 8 minutes each way....so it all adds up to about a single 90 minutes match so cost wise its about the same as going to a Premiership match. But hang-ob...who are those players. The days of players like Hoddle, Zola, Blisset, Bowles playing for the old-bioys seems to have passed. All we got were some journeymen footballers who once upon a time might have been on the books.....with a couple of exceptions...Tommy Mooney for example (best player of the night) who had a blinder for Watford and only recently quit League football. As for the rest...Neilsen was good for Spurs, Gallen for QPR. Flo for Chelsea barely touched the ball (thiough they were unlucky to get knocked out I thought going down in the group stages by the odd goal in a couple of thrillers).
Night made all the more fun (NOT) by Take That being at the Stadium same night. Hence traffic was a disaster, but at least the man on the tannoy in thr Arena reminded everyone that the football would finish an hour before Take That.....well I suppose TT did their encores....seemingly no more encores in Selco Masters for the true "Masters". But the kids enjoyed it so might go again next year!!

The actual football action was really good - But there was a distinct lack of information about the teams, scores etc - We had no idea which teams were in which group, who most of the players were, what the score was in the games - My suggestion would be for a video screen/display to give such information - At least when you watch on Sky Sports, they tell you who the players are, what the score is etc!!!
But the cheerleaders were fantastic!

A very good evening out. Greatly reccommended.
However, the sound in block S11 was very poor, we could not hear anything & missed the team line ups, commentary etc. This was very disappointing.
Also shocked at the cost of food & drink.

This was the fourth London Masters i have attended with friends, and basically the event needs bringing up to date . A big screen would be a great idea showing the team line ups (as we couldn't understand what the compare was saying over the public address system all evening). The screen could also show the highlights of previous games during the intervals.

I attended the London football masters os Saturday 9th July at Wembley Arena, taking my Dad for a fathers day present. There were some great games and lots of goals and overall it was a good evening. However the night is as much about seeing the old players on the pitch again, as seeing the standard of football and the competition and it is in this department the terrible DJ and sound system and lack of information really let the evening down. We bought a programme but the players names were blank. Maybe when it went to print they were not known, but at each venue team sheets could easily be printed and given out. There could have been electronic boards listing the players too or names on their shirts, but wasn't. The DJ tried reading the names out at the very start of the evening over music (he was playing) and we couldn't make out what he said.He should have read them out (without the music) before every game too, but didn't. We were able to identify a few ourselves and the names were mentioned if they happenned to score, although again the music often drowned this out. The DJ clearly didn't understand the importance of football and the history of the players being the main attraction to most of the attendees and some how thought the music or false hype was more important. Having music at different points is fine to add atmosphere but not to the detriment of letting us know who is actually on the pitch!

The event was a good one, entrance was good and plain sailing, the banter was good and the football was good and it was a good fun event. The only thing for me was the guy didn't know where are seats were as people had been directed to the wrong seats.

Attending this event is a no brainer. I took my younger brother and met a couple of mates up there. The tickets only cost £28.50 for the two of us and picked up two London travelcards for about £9. It is fantastic to watch some childhood hero's and have some quality football banter during the close season. The compeition is exciting, the music helps to build the atmosphere, the cheerleaders are fit! What more could a bloke want? I would reccommend this to anybody, the players show a real passion and competative edge which makes it all the more entertaining.

Fantastic fun for adults and kids alike. Good football on show and a great atmosphere too. Not like an spl match. All friendly and good banter ideal for young kids. Cheerleaders fantastic as well. Only disappointment was prices for juice and crisps for the kids.

This is the 2nd year we have attended and I think it was even better this year! With 4 children, days out are never cheap, however this is so well priced and the kids (ages 7-13 boys & girls) love it. The cheerleaders even handed FREE Gatorade thundersticks (as seen in the photo), noisy as, but the kids loved them lol...The games run fairly quickly one after another with entertainment in between so no time to get bored. The players are fairly accessible with several sitting in the crowd in between their games and signing autographs. Jose Quitongo playing for St Mirren was amazing and sat behind us for most of the event ( when not scoring a hat trick!) when asked by a young lad to sign a scrappy bit of paper, who shyly apologised for not having anything better, Jose promptly got up and went and got the lad and his friend a free program and got the whole team to sign it....amazing afternoon out.

This was a good family event. The keepie-uppie guy was amazing in between games.
Only issue was that Newcastle were meant to be playing (at least when we purchased our tickets) and yet on the day they were replaced by St Mirren - hardly the same level of playing standards!
Not as many names / faces to recognise as some teams appeared to be playing guys that had spent 5 mins in the home changing room.

This event cost £65 for a family of four. I feel this was a ridiculous some of money for what turned out to be a very mixed bag of players and the number of empty seats at the event confirmed the steep ticket prices which in turn ment there wasn't much of an atmosphere. Disappointing!!!
