An amazing concert by Rebecca, celebrating over 25 years as a major star of the stage. A sell out audience at the magnificent Grand Canal Theatre enjoyed Rebecca and her 10 piece band, under the direction of her husband Kenny Shearer, take us on a musical tour de force.
Rebecca put together a show comprising of songs from throughout her career, from her earliest musical memories through to the signature songs from the various musicals with which she made her name. All the favourites from Blood Brothers, Chess, Les Miserables and more were there.
Rebecca was joined by long term friend and backing singer Mary Lowe and the Corus choir for Don't Cry For Me Argentina from Evita. This was the first show I saw Rebecca star in, way back in 1987. It was pure joy to enjoy this concert tonight reliving all the songs and memories of the intervening years.
