An awesome display of raw talent and energy. This was so good. There was so much going on and they were so together. The bands enthusiasm and love of what they were doing was so real you could taste it

This event was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Jools is a great entertainer as well as being a marvellous musician. The atmosphere was buzzing and it was great to see Jools smiling all the way through and appearing to enjoy himself as well as encouraging and appreciating his fellow musicians - unlike some artists who appear "dead pan" and uncommunicative.

i went with my 2 freinds dean and jodie for a xmas night to see jools holand and his rhyhm and blues orchestra on friday 21st december 2012 at the newcastle city hall which was also our gig for 2012 for shows in newcastle we had amazing front row seats for the very 1st time to see jools holland this was mine and my freind dean 3rd jools gig but it was my freind jodies 1st time seeing jools live in newcastle and we thought the show as amazing the main person roland gift was fantastic and so was ruby turner and me and my 2 freinds cnat wait to see jools holland again next yeat when he comes back to the newcastle city hall next year

Brilliant night. Jools and the Band were amazing. Professional musicians at their best. Lots of goodies apart from Jools' incredible piano playing included an unforgettable drum solo, great guest, (KD Tunstall), beautiful voices, happy band. Get tickets and go. You'll come home smiling.

My wife and I attend every year and always enjoy the show. This year's was probably the best we've seen. Before we knew it, having boogied and sung along, the show was over for another year. The two hours or so had flown along. Looking forward to next year.

the show was great, this was the third time I've been to see Jools & the band, i took my mother who at 72 was dancing in the aisle & that say's it all.
all the solo's were great but Gilson Lavis solo was absolutely brilliant, Louise Marshal has got a lovely voice, but Ruby wow the lady gives her everything.
the hole night was fab, if you get the chance to see Jools & the band go you won't be disappointed.

WHAT A NIGHT THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAD GONE TO A JOOLS HOLLAND SHOW AND WILL NOT BE THE LAST,FROM THE SUPPORT ACT WHICH WAS GREAT,
THEN ALL OF THE JOOLS BAND TOOK STAGE WELL BLEW ME AND MY FRIEND NIGEL
AWAY THE SOUND ,RUBY TURNER FIST CLASS K T THE SAME SAM BROWN WOW IT JUST GOES ON ,BOOGIE ,RAG TIME ,PLUS JOOLS DOING HIS BIT ON THE PIANO ,TELL YOU NOW EVERY ONE GO TO SEE THIS SHOW AND YOU WILL KEEP GOING TIME AFTER TIME.

Went with wife to watch Jools on the back of Later and Hootenanny . Musicianship was good as expected but Boogie Woogie piano playing and entising people to sway with their arms in the air is not my thing.
Jack Savoretti and his band were great, should have played a longer set as there was a 30 minute break before Holland came on. Came home and down loaded Savoretti' album Before the Storm, Superb!

The second time that my wife & I ventured out into the cold and dark to see Jools and the band after being thoroughly entertained in 2011................To be honest...............they were even better this year !!! :)
The music was fab, the band played their socks off (once again) and the whole atmosphere from the crowd made it a brilliant night :)
Everyone that sang and played made it another unforgettable evening
Already on standby for the 2013 tickets !!!

we have been to see jools a few times and at first felt dismaid and let down. it was very noisey and not a plesant experiance... however after 15 mins, things picked up, the sound leved out and became the best ever concert. it was so full of guests (as always) and just a fantastic night. i will def see him again. its been a must for a few years now and sets us up for christmas.
the drummer was the best sound ever.
