It's a fantastic day out for the whole family. We go every year, my two young children love it- there's plenty of arts and crafts for them to enjoy. They also loved the chickens this year, and the Smoothie bike. My dad tends to sit at the bandstand whilst mum and I go shopping around the various crafts and flower stalls. We all love it as a day out, and would recomend getting there early, and staying until 6, as there is so much to see and do.

Good day out - if you like flowers. Large number of stalls selling all sorts and entertainment - good if you like a choir or Brass band.

My daughter and I had a great time at the show, loved the food bit, bought plants and garden stuff, had a nice lunch and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves Show gardens were good for inspirations for own garden as were stalls throughout the show.. Looking forward to next year.

I fail to see why this event was so expensive. The majority of this event consisted of stalls, with the odd splattering of displays and music, so why did we pay so much to be then surrounded by what amounted to . . . shops?

I have attended your show on numerous occasions but I am now finding the level of enetertainment boring. You are having the same shows ie dog trial, bird show, knight s on horses. These need changing ,and investing in new acts. Surely the amount of money you are making would afford a change.

We went on Friday sadly the weather was not very kind the grass in the marquees was very wet and there was a lot of heavy rain showers, despite the weather the show was very good and well worth visiting not quite as good as last year but the weather and this years theme was not really our age era worth making a note for next year.

We have visited Southport flower show several times and this year we were disappointed. There wasn't as many specimen gardens and little or no water features. We struggled to find stalls actually selling garden equipment and found no hanging baskets to make ourselves. There wasn't enough toilet facilities with long queues at the ladies, but overall we still had a nice day, hope next year is better!

Expected more flowers to be honest, never been to a flower show before so didnt know what to expect. More seating would have been nice for those that have travelled a long way and needed to rest whilst having a snack.

We are annual visitors to the show and look forward to it every year. This year there were lovely show gardens to look at as well as the fabulous displays in the large marquees. We even managed to say hello to 'Roy' and 'Mary' characters from Coronation Street as they visited the Coronation Street show garden which was wonderfully colourful. As usual there were many stalls selling a variety of goods from gardening equipment to plants and bulbs as well as crafts, gifts and ornaments and we did manage to spend a lot of money!! There was also a good choice of catering stalls (although not as many as previous years) so we were well fed and watered. We sat and listened to one of the gardening lectures in the marquees which was instructive and the entertainment on the bandstand was really good. The large display of jousting and sword fighting by the 'knights' was very exciting, but we have seen them at the show before. This year we bought our tickets in advance which saved us £5.00 each and think it is a good idea that an advance ticket allows you entry on any day you choose rather than a specific day; please do not change this system. Our only gripe was that the day we went the weather was awful (Friday) and there just weren't enough covered seating areas when you wished to eat food bought from a stall; we ended up on the bandstand chairs huddled together under an umbrella - not good. Please provide more covered seating areas at future shows as this has happened to us before. However, we always enjoy our visit to Southport Flower Show which has a lovely atmosphere, is well organised and has something for everyone no matter what their age, our 15 year old daughter has been each year and she loves it too - we will be back next year!!

We chose Saturday for our visit and the weather was perfect. There is always a great atmosphere at Southport Flower Show and the entertainment provided throughout the day was lovely. Plenty of places to sit and lots of places to eat although we took sandwiches and used the rest tent, run this year by Southport Lifeboat. The show gardens were nothing special this year but the variety of plants on sale grows every year. Both the professional and amateur indoor displays were very good. My main interests were bonsai, miniature hostas, and fuchsias and there were plenty of them. All the staff and volunteers were extremely helpful and friendly. The organisation and signage was very good. Roll on next year!

We spent a long weekend in Southport but decided to go on the Sunday. Worse day weather wise I think!! But the rain did not dampen our spirits or spoil our enjoyment. Even though we arrived shortly after 10, we somehow didn't manage to see everything!! A lot of the time was spent in the tents and as usual, was amazed at all the wonderful displays, all the lovely plants, bonsai, cacti, succulents etc. for sale. Was particularly enthralled with the large bonsai. Came away inspired with new ideas for the garden (and for the kitchen). A lot of effort goes into organising of such events and it really is appreciated by the visitors - thank you everyone!

We go most years to the Southport Flower Show and we never seem to tire of it. This year it rained most of Sunday when we went but it cleared up in the afternoon..... the rain didn't put us off at all.... there were plenty of tents to hide in from the rain.... the demonstrations were great, the stalls were really varied and there were lots of free samples to try. The exhibits were dramatic... especially the contemporary entries.... the dog show and the birds of prey were suitable for all ages. We came home with loads of goodies to try. The food stalls were quite good... a little pricey, as at all similar events, and my only recommendation would be for there to be more vegan options and soya milk at the coffee stalls.

It was a pity that the weather was so bad as it detracted from the hard work that all the exhibitors had put into the show. the flowers and plants were tremendous and well deserved their medals. The out door events went ahead even in the rain and under extremely boggy conditions. The jousting was especially good, as were the dogs and their owners as they slid around the arena. The Lifeboat tent was especially welcome with a decent cup of tea and a moment of dryness.

Had a really lovely time with my mum. We went on the last day, Saturday and it was very wet and the areas inside the tents were a little smelly but the flowers were still looking really good.
Really good choice and variety of food stalls, we bought cheese and smoked chicken which were both delicious.
Also loads of ideas for gifts, and collected a number of business cards from the suppliers.
Overall really great day out - however organisers could have tried to keep the grassed areas a little dryer, unsure how though!

The Show was fab as alwys. A thoroughly enjojable day and we had the bonus of the sun shining all day.
Good bargains and pleased with my purchases.
The cut flower displays were breath taking especially the" cocktail glasses"
A special mention for the Young Offenders display it was excellent.
Good variety of places to eat and plenty of healthy options

The show was smaller than other years. The main purpose of my visit was to look at plants with the likelihood of purchasing additional ones. But I was disappointed at hte lock of variety
