We got excellent seats centre stage at the very front and we didn't even book much in advance! The standard of performance was brilliant, we watched it a few years ago and it has improved so much on an already brilliant show. It was a great atmosphere and we had a brilliant time, definately recommend it to anyone!

It was wonderful to see these young people perform even though it wasn't a full house.
Their circus skills were very good and the co-ordination of the team was excellent.
The musical instruments made good music too.
The costumes were very colour full and suited the themed performances.
We enjoyed every minute of it.

Went with my mum to see this show, it was fantastic, the acrobatics that these people do within the show were so clever, had it of been on another day, i would of booked to see it again. Great for all ages to.

Even though there were a few mistakes, this was an amazing show that left us with sore hands after applauding non-stop for almost two hours.

I love Cirque du soleil and although I've never actually seen it live, love what they do on the TV. It is also very expensive, so when I saw that the Chinese State Circus were coming, and to Oxford, I quickly jumped at the chance!
Me and my mum went to see it together for her birthday and it was absolutely brilliant. Given the stage space, the tricks performed were breathtaking! I can only imagine it would be 100 times better on a larger stage! I wanted to go again straight away!
Would definitely go again!

Simply the best show I have ever seen! Some of the tricks they perform defy the laws of physics and the sheer talent and physical fitness of the entire crew is mind boggling. My girlfriend actually held her breathe at one point she was so on edge and amazed! The 'changeover' entertainment was hilarious too, it definitely wasn't just an afterthought.
It's also worth mentioning that the venue was really nice, it felt very personal and homely compared to large arenas such as the NIA or NEC.

Gret entertainment,Sholin Warriors unbelievable,my favorite was monkey,but the gymnast wiyh the turning pole so beauitful.Unicyclists very graceful,We left with a Really good feeling and Very Happy,would have liked to have met performers though.

A feast for the eyes, ears and mind! I've seen The Chinese State Circus before and was impressed by the skills displayed then so I had an idea what to expect but this performance was even better. Basing their acts around the legend of Mulan is an inspired idea! The colours and music thrill the senses; the strength and agility of the performers is jaw-dropping. Truly, family entertainment for any age.

Having seen the Chinese Ballet Circus about 18 months ago, the Chinese State Circus was very mediocre.
The level of skills left a lot to be desired.
Certain parts of the performance were more or less repeated within the show.
Second rate, not worth the money.

We took our 12 year-old grandson to the Friday performance and he said "WOW" quite a lot. In this day and age, that must count for something! We all thought it was a very good evening's entertainment.

The precision of all the acrobats and warriors was incredibly. We were a little concerned that our 4 year old wouldn't sit through a 2 hour performance but he was mesmerized throughout. He just loved the Monkey King !.
There wasn't much of a story to the performance - we were expecting a little more of the Mulan story but to be fair, the quality of acrobatics more than made up for this.
I'd certainly recommend it.

I was interested to see how they would do circus tricks in a theatre, given the obvious limitations of space - this was a very good show. Every time you think they've done something impressive - they go up another level.
Impressive that a lot of the feats can be performed by more than one person.

This is the 3rd time we have been to see the Chinese State Circus & it was a wonderful experience. Great Family entertainment & full of colour, beautiful characters & skills. Every act was absolutely great! Recommended to anyone.

I went to the circus with my sister, my nephew and a very good friend. All different ages, we all equally had a great time. The show was spectacular, the seats were comfortable. It was very cold outside but the Circus tent was warm thanks to the heating installed. The performance was .... We are definitely going to go back again.

Great variety of acts
Warriors appealed to young boy.
Girl liked the couple swinging.
We all like the acrobats and especially the unicyle team.
I have been to the previous three visits and it is good that there are changes from year to year.

My 3 daughters and I spent a lovely evening at the Chinese State Circus.......we have never been before and found the whole thing really enjoyable. Will definitely go again in the future.
