Took my other half up there as part of a surprise day and was not disappointed. This was my first time going and It lived up to everyones recommendations. Initially thought that an hour slot was too long but soon got into it and the time went far too quickly. I would recommend this to anyone and suggest that it is better to go at night.

We decided to spend New Year's eve at Somerset House, never having tried it before. We booked too late to get skating tickets but it turned out to be a fab evening. The location is beautiful and it was really nice to have a great view of the fireworks from the terrace without being crushed by the crowds on the bridge. The ticket price included a half bottle of
Laurent Perrier champagne with a straw. Perhaps I'm easily pleased but I thought that was a really nice touch. There were three places to eat at different price levels so there was no pressure to pay a fortune. You could splash out or go for a more modest option. All the staff - in the bars, cafes, security etc were great. A very relaxed and joyful evening in a beautiful place. It was also great to see people of all ages and nationalities. Ticket price was £35, then about £15 for food and drink. For

Attended the event with friends (in total four adults and three teens - adults with a spectator tickets, kids as skaters). We really enjoyed the evening despite the rain; skating was good, music with the live DJ was great and really good food at Fernadez & Wells within Somerset House and good choice of hot and cold drinks at Tom's skate lounge. Plenty of room on the terrace to view the fireworks. The fireworks viewing is not spot on directly opposite the display, so for instance the Big Ben isn't that visible, but it's great not to have to queue for hours to get to see the pyrotecnics with what it's still a very good view. I do think though that the organizers could have achieved going the extra mile with little effort : with the fireworks I would have liked to see even just some confetti and maybe music as way of getting us revellers on the terrace to sing Auld lang syne, as after midnight the atmosphere went a bit flat. All in all a good way to see the new year in.

we went last year and took our two boys aged 5 and 6 years we loved it and so did they, makes you get right into the christmas spirit
the staff were very helpfull with taking the boys over to the chrildren part when partner fell over lol.
am booking again for this year

As a little Christmas treat, my girlfriends and I went for a skate at Somerset House. After a glass or two, we put our skates on and fell around the ice rink. We had so much fun, it was a truly beautiful setting and hilarious to watch us all attempt to ice-skate with any grace. I CANNOT wait for us to go back again this year.

We skate at Somerset House most years, it's always on our checklist of things to do at Christmas time. It's such an amazing setting and the ice is always good quality. Can't wait to book our tickets for this year!

went with a couple of friends and we all had an amazing time. wasnt too many people on the rink at one time, big enough and they freashen up ice after every session. the only down fall is the time restictions. you only get an hr, which is enough i suppose as your feet start to ache but by the time u get your shoes ect u loose 10 mins! u just get the hang off it and then your being told to get off. but would highly recommend! just get their early so u can get your shoes straight away and not be stuck in a que for them while u loose your time on the ice.

This is now becoming a Christmas tradition for my girlfriend and I to skate at Somerset House. We take the last skate of the night so it is freezing and there has not been as many people on the ice. I cannot skate but have great fun flying around and trying to gain some form of control. It is all about fun and festivity and I've had it 2 years in a row now on this ice rink.

SKATE AT TIFFANY ICE RINK - SOMERSET HOUSE
This rink is rubbish! they give information that they only have 100 people on the ice at one time and have a choice of boots, figure and hockey... infact they had 210 during our session which made it horrendous and there is only one type of boot, hockey, which are not suitable for beginner as they have no front or back support and this resulted in 90% of the people being on the floor or clinging to the sides. only the staff had figure boots and breezed round the rink! such a shame as its a great venue but not very well organised

We got up very early to travel to Somerset House for the 'Breakfast with Tiffany', but it was worth it. The staff were very organised and helpful. The setting and decorations were beauiful, the ice wasn't crowded even though it was fully booked and the music made us feel very festive. Afterwards we had vouchers for champagne, hot chocolate and cupcakes, these were served very quickly and were lovely. Will be doing again next year hopefully.

Breakfast with Tiffany was an amazing experiance! Although we didn't do much iceskating, the hot chocolate, Tiffany cupcake and post 10am champagne was completly worth it and I would recommend the experiance to everyone!!
