After all the hype, and my fears of a sketchy show, The Roses came out and smashed it. Absolutely amazing set. Browns voice wasn't top notch, but has it ever been! His swag and star quality lite up the stage as 75,000 fans. Adored him.I must admit i cried, i got lost in the moment, i never thought i would see the day they would reform, they were as tight musically as they had ever been. Heaton Park venue was shocking the bar the toilets the exit the transport but you know what i did not care, well worth the agro. Mint gig.

Over hyped gig.... loved the Roses when they first came out and fair to say there music has well and truely stood the test of time, but Ian Brown's voice was a bit of a let down and the venue is just woeful!

The best gig I have ever been too. On the morning I was frantically getting tickets for my husband to be on the morning of our wedding. Was so made up when I managed to get them :-)

I have yet to experience a live gig like the Stone Roses. I could fill the character limit with all the different words I could use for its greatness.

The toilets were borderline inaccessible and the bar tents were a no-go. The people around me were terrible as well and it seemed they did their best to ruin the day for me but despite all that, the sheer brilliance of the Roses overcame it all.

It was staggeringly good. The crowd sung it all almost word-for-word and we even sung the bass line, it was an experience like no other.

If they keep it together and continue touring, I will see them again in a heartbeat.

Bars and toilets were a nightmare, getting out was a near disaster but....... The Stone Roses were simply amazing, the set list, the crowd, the atmosphere - even the Manchester rain didn't dampen anyones spirits, one of THE best weekends of my life - roll on V Fest :D

Brilliant night out. And if ever there was any doubt about the Stone Roses comeback and playing to 45000 people, Thursday night totally obilterated it.
What a laugh. And the buzz about the place was electric. Everyone was in great form and there for one reason and one reason only.
Was lovely to see The Farm there too, got there about half way through them. Would ve liked to have known about them playing so couldve seen whole set.

So, after the battle to get tickets to the long awaited reunion I have to say that I was a little disappointed with the big event.

The Roses themselves were actually a lot better live than I had expected. I just had a few niggles which meant the event didn't really do it for me:

1) They didn't play any of my 3 favourite Roses tunes - their repitoire isn't that long so I was disappointed that none of them made it in!
2) There was no encore (although the fireworks did go some way to reducing the disappointment).
3) The ground was completely inadequate for a gig of this size: 3 beer tents meaning a minimum hour wait for a drink. Also, a random platform plonked right in the middle of the crowd meant that you couldn't get a clear view of the stage if you weren't in the (restricted entry) front section.
4) They ran out of beer!

when i bought the ticket i was in 2 minds really as i thought oh no another band reformed for the money this is gonna be terrible, but they songs were tight and the atmosphere was electric, great songs by a truely great band, i just hope the youngsters of today see this is how a band should be and how much should be played and maybe the future of british music won't be so bad.

What a great gig. The atmosphere was electric. I enjoyed every single second of it. I was glad I'd worn wellies though and had a few beers before I got into the venue as It was sooo muddy and impossible to get a beer. The band were great and so were the crowd. I would love to do it all over again. Ian messed up a good bit singing out of key but it didn't matter to me.

Opening act(s): Dirty north were pretty impressive, The justice for tonight band really got the crowd going , The wailers were amazing , then plan b, i was really impressed,, but my favourite bit was when he brought faith sfx on, he is an absolutely amazing beatboxer. @

Amazing!! Still avn't got over how great they were...stayed sober so I could remember every minute...best gig i've ever bn to. I got Sunday tickets & if I'd av got Friday tickets I'd av bought sat & sun tickets when I had the chance!!

I bought 4 hospitality tickets for myself, husband and 2 friends. Upon arrival we received free merchandise, drinks and food vouchers, etc. From the moment we arrived in the hospitality area we were amazed at the facilities. Flushing toilets, well stocked bar with no queues for either. Standard tickets were queuing for up to 2 hours for a pint!! Comfortable seating areas were provided. There was a food tent serving freshly cooked pizzas, Aberdeen Angus burgers, Lamb Kofta wraps, etc. delicious! We also had access to the pit at the front of the stage, great view of the bands. The Wailers and Plan B were superb, and The Stone Roses were sensational! The staging and sound were fantastic. The staff at the event were really helpful. In fact my only negative was after the event had finished, getting out of Heaton Park was a nightmare! Thousands of people trying to get out of a few exits all at the same time!
