Took kids to Ice Festival yesterday, bought timed tickets on line to save queueing up!! Ice slide wasn't too bad, waited about 1/2 hour and kids thought it was amazing fun - from the 7 year old right up to the 15 year old. Then went on to see Santa, queue was massive - so joined the one on the side which was apparently for timed ticket holders - absolute joke!!! No organisation had to sort of push our way into main queue which obviously was irritating to those in the main queue. Waited an HOUR to get into ice gallery & see santa, which was lovely but really really small amount of ice sculptures - I didnt think it lived up to what was advertised. What was the point of a timed ticket - except for ticketmaster to make an absolute fortune - 95p per ticket transaction fee & then they have the cheek to charge you £1.95 to print our your own ticket via email - daylight robbery and they get away with it!!!
Didn't visit the ice bar so can't comment , ice skating looked good but we were so cold by then went for a drink and a warm in John Lewis ;)
