Dickens the Man (and a good few characters) comes to life in the hands of Simon Callow, he grips your attention with verve and humor through the entire performance.

It was a last minute decision to go to see this monologue-style production - and I am so glad I did! Simon Callow showed us all the sides of Dickens and his many unforgettable characters, and held the audience throughout. A beautiful little Victorian theatre and a warm, funny, poetic, sad and touching portrayal of one of our literary greats. The American from Tennessee sitting in front of me also enjoyed every word!

Superb acting and story telling switching seamlessly between narrator and character. A really enjoyable evening.

We had a wonderful two hours in the company of Simon Callow who told the story of Charles Dickens brilliantly, interweaving both funny and emotional quotations from a variety of Dickens' works. Simon Callow enthralled the audience. Would definately recommend this event.

What a fantastic way to spend an afternoon - Simon Callow brings Dickens to life - I have read some of his works & seen the films adapted from his classics but after this I am reaching for the bookshelf to start reading all his works. Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful the only word to describe Simon Callow's performance - bravo

Simon Callow is, was and I think always will be, a wonderfully charismatic actor who was entirely brilliant in this intimate and warm, yet multicoloured and inspiring presentation. One man, one stage and one hell of an entertaining evening. I want to go again.
