I have followed Team GB's rise with enthusiasm and watched many hours of track cycling but nothing prepared me for the World Cup experience. Virtually 12 hours of cycling and I could have stayed for more. What a venue, what an atmosphere, what athletic prowess.
Trotty was amazing. Where does she get the power from?
If you ever get the chance to go to something like this, just go.

My first visit to the new velodrome in Glasgow. The atmosphere was great, the view of the track was great with the area in the middle of the track being slightly lower than track height giving you a perfect view of the whole track. Well worth the trip from the West Country.

What a venue, what an atmosphere and what incredible value for money. Most impressed by the facilities with particularly clean toilets, good value food outlets and friendly staff throughout.

This was a great event. Well organised and well attended in a fab facility.
The velodrome is easy to get to and is within a lovely new sports complex.
The whole day was great, made extra special by Chris Hoy taking time out to chat to the crowd.
The only downside is the junk food on sale, we couldn't even buy water! What sort of sporting facility promoting health & a sporting commonwealth games legacy, pedals so much junk food! (excuse the pun) All we could get was salty hot dogs, fatty/greasy nachos & pizza!
I don't think Sir Chris eats that kind of rubbish - not the best health message for future cycling generation

The programme was full and the races flowed quickly one after another. We were in the second row and had an amazing view, although as the arena is quite intimate I am sure the views were pretty good from any seat. We made use of the free shuttle service back into town and had to wait only a few minutes before a number of buses turned up. The event was well organised with the volunteers/staff always helpful.

Everything inside the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome was excellent, but outside? All the parking (advertised on the venue web-site as being available) was allocated to Staff/Teams and Press/VIPs, and although the car parks were less than half full, everybody else turning up in a car was sent away to park at Celtic Park, or on nearby streets. Fine if this had been advertised in advance, but it was not. Also a complete lack of information on the venue web-site as to the facilities available (food, drink etc) inside at the event. Well done the UCI, but Glasgow Council, you need to get your act together.

great venue, spoilt by the host trying to start a mexican wave when riders were about to start their race, particularly when it was a final.
Dislike this sort commercialisation of serious sporting events.

What an awesome day! Having watched track cycling on TV, we were sure it would be an interesting day but we just had not appreciated the scale of the event, the speed the riders can achieve or indeed the sheer height of the banking! The racing was fast and furious. The schedule was well maintained and the man himself, Sir Chris Hoy, put in an appearance, though sadly not to ride.
Would we go again? Yesssssssss!

Overall good event, good compere, Dougie Vipond, but less of the "weeshd" and "give it llady", I think you will find most Scottish People do not use these words.
Parking was confusing as one website said there was parking and another said there was not, would have been good to have a signposts showing alternative parking in the area.
Catering was very poor, hotdogs or Nachos.

Cycling was fantastic, Laura Trott on fire. Fantastic event, fantastic venue and the big man was there in person!!
The only down side was no parking meaning we had to park on the street and our friends car was broken into. Luckily nothing was stolen but it was a long, cold drive back to Edinburgh with no side window!
