These songs definitely did contain jokes, & a great big dollop of doo doo fun. Dan Clark gave me a second night to remember for all the right reasons. Having seen this show previously in Soho I naturally anticipated the same gags & songs, but his profecionalism, wit & confident interaction with his audience who clearly adored him made for another truly individual performance. Dan kindly took the time after the show to meet & speak with any fans. Of course I hoped to have a 2nd chance to meet him & waited with my carefully flat packed 3 series, Christmas special box ready for a much sought after signature. Dan was patient with his guests, politely listened to them & was sufficiently cheeky as I had secretly hoped he would be. When I told him that HNTLYL had personally come along at precisely the right time in my own life for me, he asked "in what way?" . I explained that I know a Don character & also a Samantha character for real. He said that he felt sorry for me. I did not have the nerve to admit that I see both of these characters in myself. I wore my best low cut sparkly top, offered him a massage (which I genuinely do for a living) & politely kissed his hand. All venue staff were friendly & efficient. His band were fantastic, he was fantastic & this night will remain a highlight for me for a very long time. Thanks matey, the masseuse. X
