We loved being so close to the band, you could almost feed of their immense energy. Seeing Freshlyground just took me back home as they have the perfect African flavour! We love every minute of the gig...

Freshlyground were amazing! - have wanted to see them in concert since first hearing of them whilst on holiday in South Africa in 2006 when the album Nomvula had just been released.
Tremendous energy, fantastic music with that hypnotic african beat - great entertainment!

Thoroughly enjoyed the show. Unbelievable energy from the group especially coming from a 6 month pregnant Zolani, who was jumping around and looked to be enjoying it too.
Jazz Cafe is a really great venue. Loved having a meal and then watching from our table on the balcony.

a wonderful group - fantastic live. Their energy, enthusiasm and musicality just bursts forth as soon as they hit the stage. so much better live than recorded. An excellent night in an excellent venue. We'll be back!

Amazing performance, fantastic band, heart felt music that makes you want to move! Great intimate venue. If you haven't felt Africa in your soul yet their music will give that to you :)
Only downside was there was no opening act, waiting around for 2hours was a bore.

An amazing concert in a cosy venue the way I like it. They're a special group of talented musicians conveying everything that I love about Africa from the guitar rhythms and the clucking in Xhosa but including a flute and a violin that gives the band a unique sound.
I only wished for more of their older songs, but we met a couple of the band members after the show which made for the perfect evening!

What an amazing night from this talented band! The Jazz Cafe was packed to the rafters with a crowd who were completely out to have a great night.
Lead singer Zolani exudes charisma and talent in equal measure...working every part of the stage and interacting with each of the musicians. This is not a one woman show...each member plays a very important part and was given breathing space to shine!
Past hits such as Doo be doo, and This time for Africa, were played out with tracks from the albums Nomvula, Ma Cheri, and Radio Africa aswell as some brand new material.
The highlight of the show for me however was the heartbreaking rendition of massive hit "I'd Like" which had the crowd waving arms and singing along with great enthusiasm.
This was a wonderful concert and a rare opportunity to enjoy the Freshlyground live experience. One of my favourite gigs so far this year without a shadow of doubt!

It was my first gig at the Jazz Cafe, which is cool, intimate venue. The band, playing the only gig in the UK, were on top form and we had a fantastic night.
