I'll cut to the chase - don't waste your money.
Having read all about the winter wonderland I pencilled in the Sochi experience as one of my olympic must dos. I went with my wife and her parents and paid £80 for entry in to what turned out to be a weak marketing experience for Sochi, with a tour through several nondescript zones full of sponsors material.
The interactive part of the venue was a couple of x-box kinects, and the 4-d cinema experience was a cold room with a poor 3-d promo video. The "train ride" - a plastic shell, with a map of the railway that Sochi are going to build. The entire experience is worse than a poor marketing expo.
If this had been free - it still would have been a waste of time. The fact it cost £80, was actually just insulting.
