Arrived at 9pm to be greeted by a skinny youth on stage jerking and twitching behind a laptop. This was accompanied by a loud noise, which stopped after about 30 minutes, and the young man left the stage. By 10pm, Grimes had still not appeared onstage and I left. I remember being treated like this by bands and singers years ago when I first started gig-going, but I thought they had all learned to treat their fans with respect. I'm not so overwhelmed by her music that I'll be subjecting myself to this again.
