Totally brilliant! Completely evokes the era, the style, the zeitgeist. Costumes and set design were utter perfection. Matthew Bourne is a genius with his choreography and the cast absolutely encapsulated the style of movement, emotion and atmosphere needed. Needless to say I loved it. Three tiny criticisms to do with props that's all...the shopping bags Glenda carried, I believe, should have been brown paper. The streamers coming down the stairs banisters should have been a bright blue and yellow, in my opinion and the washing baskets Sheila carried should have been real basket. Not too much to take anything away from the rapturous enjoyment of the performance.
