The duo were the openng act on the Peace One Day show supporting James Morrison and Elton John. In some ways they stole the show promoting more audience reaction than the other 2 artists (who were both excellent) which is some achievement.
I had never seen or heard their work and wondered what could be done with those instruments apart from clasical works. When they wandered on stage carrying what obviously were high tec. electric upright cellos, and positioned themselves by numerous effects pedals from the first stroke of their bows the effect was amazing.
Notes simply flew from their bows, and if you have never heard "Highway to Hell" on strings you have a treat instore. I read that they are both highly qualified musicians, and joining Elton John in his Las Vegas Review next month. They also backed Elton during his set later in the evening.
A novelty act, but I will be hoping they tour in the UK. Even rock fans will enjoy this .. they are a lot of fun.
