Not being able to go down to Glasgow, I hoped the Scottish Home Show would be a good substitute for the Ideal Home exhibition. Wrong. The number of exhibitors was disappointing and there were very few interior decorators. We were accosted and insulted by an orange lady hard selling tanning powder and could not hear the Nick Nairn School cookery demo.

Was not what I expected in terms of the scale of the show, or the variety of stands. The Glasgow show is rumoured to be much better so will be tryign to attend that one in future.

i have never been to the scottish home show before, but would certainly go again. there were 151 stands so lots to see. i was looking for an aga so went to their stand, they were very informative and helpfull, I ordered a 2 door in claret and received my 10% discount. all in all it was well worth the cheap ticket price..

There were far fewer exhibits than expected for such an event. I received an impression that many businesses couldn't be bothered to come, but I wonder if the cost of exhibiting might have been a factor.
I would not attend a similar event in the future unless I knew in advance that it was worth the ticket price, which this event certainly was not.
