I attended this event with a group of 60 children and 15 adults. The children were wowed by their experience at the event as they got to see the Olympic Site as well as feel that they had experienced part of the Olympics which was attended by many other children...They loved receiving their lanyards and delighted in reading through the inserts on theirs and filling them in with the pen they also received.
Out of the swimming morning session they experienced some of the stands set up for them and took part in such things as making their own smoothies using a bicycle! They had a go at fencing, tasting many lovely goodies ....

I was quite disappointed with the facilities at Barking Rugby Club. The refreshments that were available were very limited.....the toilet facilities were disgusting!! the only saving grace was the local McDonalds and a cafe across the road. I felt slightly disgruntled that other sports were taking place at olympic venues and yet these talented girls were playing at some run of the mill rugby club with minimal support which in itself was disappointing.I had tickets to other sporting events and I feel that if the rugby had been played at the olympic stadium or a venue with other sporting events it may have had more spectators. I think last years venue at Sheffield was a better experience for both player and spectator

Amazing Event and even better when your cheering on your son, Brilliant venue and only dissapointment is that I won't be able to visit again for the Olympics:( A donation of free tickets would be greatly appreciated:)

I took a small group of students to the Sainsbury's School Games Final held at the Olympic Stadium. We had a fantastic day and all the students really enjoyed it and were massively inspired to try a little harder within their PE lessons back at school. The Olympic Stadium was an awesome venue and my students felt previleged to be in there before London 2012. There were unfortunately a couple of issues that did dampen the day a little. One was the cost of food and drink at the venue. The instructions sent to us prior to the event stated that it would be like airport security with no food or drinks allowed past check in. Therefore I informed my students of this and it turns out there were a number of other schools all with their own pack up and drinks inside the stadium. My students had to go and buy drinks which were very expensive. The other issue was parking the mini-bus. This took us over an hour. The address we were given for parking was a building site, every steward we asked didn't know where we needed to be. I ended up finding the right car park and the the fence gate was locked and they wouldn't let me walk my students along the road (which I agree with) but I then had to drive them back to Westfield, leave them with my 1 member of staff on her own, go back and park the bus and then walk back to meet them.
The overall day was brilliant, just two factors that could of made it even better.

The Velodrome is great to look at inside and outside! It is very warm inside though :( This was a fantastic event and well worth it!!

Wonderful opportunity for young people superbly run and financed by Sainsburys. Gives young people a chance to excel in thier sport and also take enormous pride in themselves.

The stadium and access to it is brilliant. Our seats allowed for a perfect view and the events ran smoothly with a running commentary and the scoreboards informing us of everything we needed to know. All pupils who attended the trip thoroughly enjoyed themselves despite the rain. There was enough room under cover for them to still stand and watch.

Great event - shame about the initial entry organisation. all spectators prevented from entering at beginning of event despite having valid tickets.
