Paul O Grady was the only entertainment of the evening. The storyline was greatly confusing...what was going on?? Bet Lynch was appalling and the other 'big name' stars looked positively embarrassed to be there. The dancers seemed to know what they were doing even if we didnt. Hug.ely dissappointed with the quality of the script and set

My wife and I really enjoyed The Street of Dreams. I wasn't sure what to expect but we both found the whole evening highly entertaining and professionally done. All the singers were excellent as were the dancers. I particuarly liked the Martha Longhurst 'Spanish Holiday' routine with the stuffed donkeys!! Paul O'Grady was excellent . And the surprise appearance of Russel Watson was an added bonus - what a voice. Pity he's a Man Utd fan.

Despite what people have said I absolutly loved the show! Actors, dancers, band, lighting, sound, behind the scenes you name the and they put so much hard work into the show. I would reccomend this show to any Coronation Street fan out there young or old, reliving some of the historical moments that make the show what it is today.

Corrie: Unforgetable for the wrong reasons

It was the first night, however it felt more like we attended a rehearsal as there were parts of the set that were not put together properly and the stage team had to start fixing them at the interval, i dont feel that the show was put together professionally (no judgement on the actors, more as in the sequence of dates etc) and alot of more recent 'memories' were not part of it which was dissapointing (ie: the death of jack and vera) and the TV screen which was displayed on the set was terrible, with a large size screen and the showing on it not fully screened.
It really did feel like we were at the rehearsal of a drama group and not at an arena Production.
Highly dissapointed, also considering that the event was rescheduled for 2 months later. Definately not worth the money which i paid.

Awful just awful. I feel gutted that I paid over £65 a ticket to sit through this. If you have been given a refund count yourself very lucky!

Utter Rubbish - Curly should have put the scripts in his dustbin!
An absolute insult to the audience. Wasn't sure whether a kids pantomime or a show!
Singing on the whole was good and Paul O'Grady did his best!! BUT storylines and scenery was a joke! Julie Goodyear was on stage for a few minutes only - a waste of time)

Unfortunatley I wasn't impressed by the show overall.
I thought it was vastly overpriced, for poor quality seating. The show would have been better in Manchester Palace Theatre or the Opera House, the MEN was not the ideal place to stage it!!
There were good points to the show, and it was nice to see some of the older, forgotten characters, but the theme was a bit strange (the 'grim reaper') and I felt there was a lot of major storylines and charaters missing. I thought the Sean floating about as a butterfly a bit strange and didn't see how this tied in with any story line.
All in all, I was very disappointed as I had high hopes for Paul O'Grady putting on a fab musical!
Sadly, I would not recommend, no matter how big a Corrie fan and that it would probably be more suited to a TV programme.

I AM AMAZED THAT ONCE PAUL O'GRADY READ THIS SCRIPT, HE AGREED TO STAR IN IT. HE IS WORTH SO MUCH MORE. ONLY HIM AND A COUPLE OF THE GIRL SINGERS MADE IT WATCHABLE.

Very disappointed, thought the story line as such was good but maybe a bit ambitioius and maybe too difficult to translate as there is so much material to draw on maybe too much. The high lights were definitely the two Elsie Tanners, good voices and the duet they sang was great - the inclusion of the 'corrie stars' seemed bitty no flow - and Russell Watson as the finale was great but couldln't quite get the connection? Not worth £60 plus we travelled from York! Also, although the set was immpressive it didn't work opening up the houses - not sleek enough. Shame really as everyone seemed to work really hard. Personnally not a fan of Paul O'Grady but he did add some Oomph!

As regular Coronation Street viewers, my sister and I were really looking forward to the show. What a huge disappointment it was!!
From the moment Paul O'Grady came on to the stage (20 minutes late) it was a pantomime. There was no continuation, just a series of songs supposedly about characters from the cast, but these were disjointed and totally out of character eg Why did the 'pretend' Sean have to fly through the audience on a harness singing a song about longing to be in a cross dressing dance troupe!!!
Paul O'Grady and 'The Angel of the North' were very poor and I'm surprised he agreed to do it !

All i can possibley say to this is ......
WHAT A LOAD OF TOTAL RUBBISH.
I have never ever been so dissapointed in all my life, with the cost of the show, the train fair in and the cost of the goods inside the Arena.....
I waited since Christmas for this, it was my Christmas Suprise Present.....
Who do i contact to get my WASTED MONEY BACK FROM.........
never ever would i go to see this again.
Why would the CAST, of a FANTASTIC WEEKLY SHOW, PUT THEM SELVES THROUGH THE HORROR OF THIS SHOW......
EVEN THE STARS WHO WERE THERE WERE CRINGING....
WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORT.....
I HAVE SEEN AND BEEN IN BETTER AMATUER THEATRE SHOWS THAN THIS, IF YOU NEED STARS AND IDEAS JOIN OUR VERY HARD WORKING AMATUER STAGE HERE IN THE NORTH WEST AND SEE REAL TALENT.
UNFORTUNATELY ITS THE SHOW AND WRITERS WHO GOT IT ALL VERY WRONG......

i bought tickets in december for a xmas present for my friend and i then got notified change of date when we both booked time of work russel watson and other artist were advertised to be in show was suposed to be big line up of artists only saw 2 sound was bad when they were singing mice did not come on

This show had been postponed from I recall March to May but the set was falling apart and being repaired during the interval.
I could have seen the old clips on a TV Programme and was dissappointed that few of the big stars were in attendance on the opening night though I believe they were there on Thursday - had I known it was a different show I would have booked Thursday night.

We traveled from Scotland to see the show and paid £67. The MEN area was a terrible choice in venue as the majority of guests were over the age of 70 and found the stairs hard to manage. I had to help the lasy up the stairs next to me.

I would never sit and text during any performace but as this was so bad I needed something to stop me from walking out.

The first half was better than the 2nd musically, the staging was terrible and the "famous actors" in it were not worth the money. Bet was only on stage for 2 min!!!!!

Awaful show and glad it has been cancelled.

What a disapointment this turned out to be! I had seen it talked about on TV and it looked good. I have watched Corrie from day 1 and thought this would be a serious tribute to the programme.When I saw Russell Watson was appearing in it that decided it for me as i am a fan.
Also at the last minute a seat became available in the front row so too good to miss I thought.
I went on my own and as last minute, paid quite a bit for the train fare and the hotel as coming from Wales, i had to stay overnight. The Corrie ticket was expensive too.
What a complete waste of money. Paul Ogrady,although i like him, turned the whole thing into a comedy,like a pantomime.
What the point of an angel, and somebody flying over the audience with wings on, was I dont know.
Some of the songs were good but the addition of two men dressed up as women did nothing for me either.
Nothing to do with Corrie!
Reviews I have read since agree with me and consequently the remaining shows were abandoned,temporarily they said, but I wonder?
.
The only good bit was Russell and he only sang one song.

The show started late and there seemed to be issues with the sound. Jodie Prenger couldn't be heard as her mike didn't seem to work. Paul O'Grady was funny and professional and I thought Kym Marsh was good.

The interval appeared to be long as they seemed to have set issues again.

If you like Corrie though you'd enjoy it. Russell Watson's special appearance was short - one song - but good.

Terrible experience. First of all the postponement lost me my £68 air fair from London to Manchester. Then on rebooking for the postponed date it coincided with another important engagement that I had to cancel! Then we had to pay and extra £15 to the hotel for the change of date of our rooms, and then the event was poorly signposted to get to the event in the dark and rain - THEN THE SHOW WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. In the end it cost me over £200 to see a load of rubbish. The only good thing is that Russell Watson made an appearance - thank god!

Coronation street wasn't well rehearsed was disjointed and not worth the £67 I paid I had also paid for my sister as a treat so overall cost was £134 could of been spent on better things.
