With low expectations for the supports of Pure Love, I was amazed when Turbogeist came on and I absolutely loved them! Definitely a new band to watch this year. Then the man everyone was waiting for, the legend that is Frank Carter came on stage, and quickly proceeded to get off stage again by jumping into the crowd. The whole band's stage presence was amazing and the atmosphere was electric. Everyone was friendly and we all had a brilliant time. Definitely the best gig of my life and if Pure Love come to Birmingham again, I am there!

After seeing Gallows, I had some idea of how the gig may go.
But I was blown away by Pure Love , the whole lot , the music the banter and the new way a band performs anywhere but the stage :)
They only have a short music collection but all songs were just great, teenage kicks was also in there so a really exceptional evening was had by all.
even got my album signed after the gig.
I don,t suppose they will play at this small a venue again but they will go onto bigger venues and I will be going !

Being slightly sceptical before arriving, I'm glad that I did turn up to this show. I've never been to a gig that was that much fun. From numerous inflatables being used to crowd surf by band and fans to putting the drum kit in the middle of the floor and moving the show to a more up close experience. Pure Love know how to put on a real rock show, without losing the fun from it. Everyone should see this band.

The best gig I have ever been too!
Highlights of the night................. Jarrod playing drums above the fire exit, Jim crowd surfing while not missing a note and Frank, well just Frank in general, that man knows how to own a venue!
Cannot wait to see them again.
Genuine lovely, humble guys who rocked!

One of the best bands iv seen in a long time, staging diving every second, drum kit on top of a fire escape then middle of crowd, fantastic!

Frank Carter is as lively as ever, if not more so. This is live music how it should be - played with PASSION not necessarily perfection.
The support bands were both great.
Gigs like this are why I still make the effort to see live music, even when I am the oldest member of the audience.

For anyone who saw gallows in Frank carters reign as frontman, they will know what a presence on stage that he has. But what may be surprising is to hear how truly good his voice is. The savagery and brutality of his hardcore punk legacy perhaps betrays him in this respect. Armed with not one but a whole (albeit fairly short but very sweet) set of rock anthems, he proves more than capable of holding his own as a very accomplished rock singer.
The songs themselves are very polished and instant crowd pleasers, with hooky big chunky guitar riffs, razor sharp lyrics and choruses big enough to fill an arena.
Only 8 gigs under their belt we are informed tonight, but Jim and the rest of the band are super tight. it is hard to believe that this is not a band who have been together for years, they really are that good.
From the opening bar of the first song to the final Rung out note of the encore, the smallish but very enthusiastic crowd that has turned out are delighted, with the 2 singles so far to be released, bury my bones and handsome devils club, providing an opportunity for them to sing along. Frank seems genuinely amazed by the way that his band are clearly making some big impacts so early on after their creation only last summer.
My advice is simple - go and see this band!!!!
