Homely, friendly venue welcomed Rachel Sermanni to Manchester. Never seen a performer interact so comfortably with an audience before being both funny and entertaining throughout - tales of working in a burger bar for a month and getting the blame for customer putting sugar on his chips even though it wasn't her fault. As for the music Rachel is an immense talent and it was a joy to hear the songs from both her recent releases The Bothy Sessions and The Black Currents EP. A beautiful voice and stunning solo performer who deserves to be successful. She also took the time to speak with the audience afterwards. Get close up an personnel now while you can as she will be playing to thousands in the not too distant future. A UK treasure.
