I think this event at the Brixton O2 Academy was a completely expensive waste of money.
It was a poor event and the main room DJ's didn't really play good music. I do love all different genres of music, but the tracks played were so up and down, some good but the majority bad. I found the DJ's in the main entrance much better to listen to.
Expensive ticket, expensive drinks inside, the hotel room I stayed in was expensive, and if it had been a quality night, I wouldn't have minded the costs, but for a very poor standard of a night it was too expensive and a waste of money. The speakers in the main room were set too loud and it was distorting. I don't think the O2 Academy is as good as a lot of the other clubs that I have been to. I don't think have the DJ's on the set list even played. It was a Ferry Corsten night and he only played for an hour and a half.
The event wasn't even that busy which speaks for itself really.
I won't even consider coming back to the O2 Academy in Brixton again. The seats were pretty poor, but the only benefit from them was the poor sound system was less distorted upstairs, than the ground floor.I regret coming to the night and wish I had paid to go over to Avalon in the USA to see John Digweed.
I definitely will not be attending another event at the O2 Brixton Academy again.
