Great event / venue
Free flags from BG and hands from Speedo added bonus
Good choice of medal presenters, including the legend Anita Lonsborough
Some really inspiring paralympic swimmers

Great event and opportunity to experience the Aquatics Centre atmosphere.
Sort of a shame that not competing against other countries.
Most of expected swimmers qualified - no surprises
Would have been good to have a free programme as with other recent test events
Freebies from Speedo and BG flag and photos nice touch (although range and availability of these varied from one day to another)

Venue and ambience terrific, all staff smiley and helpful, and lovely to see local schoolchildren there - having a good time and impeccably well-behaved. BIG gripe was lack of info on website as to length of session. Info and ticket just said 'Heats 9.00am'. As the Finals weren't till 6.30pm, I assumed that session would last at least all morning, possibly a little of the afternoon too? To be sure, I emailed 2 weeks beforehand to the contact address to ask length of session - never received an answer. In the end, the session was just one and half hours, finishing at 11.30. I had invited my sister, who came all the way from Cambridge , having to get an expensive early train. I had tickets for the 9th March too, with relatives due to come from Kent, again assuming that the session would be long enough for them to see some good swimming if they arrived atbout10.30.. I discovered on the 8th that the 9th March 9.00am Heats session was also just one and half hours. To get there at 9.00, my 3 relatives would have had to spend at least £127 on the train fare from Kent, so they gave up the idea of coming..If session was so short, why could it not have started later to avoid this transport problem for people outside London?
At other London Prepares events, we have been given a lovely free brochure about the events. The BG Swimming programme cost £6.00. Fair enough, but we had got used to them free, so why the difference?!

To be able to visit the Aquatics Centre prior to the Olympics(I have no swimming tickets for the 'Greatest Show on Earth'),was a wonderful experience and it was heartening to see how well our swimming teams rose to the occasion & produced performances that bode well for the future.The new building is fantastic but how are they going to get 17.5 thousand spectators inside for the Olympics? (There were 2.5 thousand on the night I went to watch!)Also,I found the security checks lacking.These were superficial,in my opinion and the searching of bags,in particular,left a lot to be desired.I hope that those dealing with security will take time to analyse their procedures and implement more thorough arrangements for checking handbags,hand luggage,etc. at the Olympics.

It was a great event to go to. I do feel a little disappointed the amount of coroporate/VIP seats that were left empty for key finals. I had tickets for the whole week and felt that this could have been managed better.

When the tickets went on sale they did not highlight that the screen showing the times and video would not be visible to all. They did not also highlight where the swimmers would be starting from.

I feel for certain events there could have been more tickets sold than the 2,500 that were.

Definitely the most beautiful pool we've ever seen. There was no restrictioned views from any seat from what we could see. The staff were very friendly. The parade of the British team added to the enjoyment of the evening. We only wish there had been more races.

Fantastic venue, great seats, awesome performances by the athletes. The British Gas goody bag was a disappointment. The VIP reception was a non-event - British Swimming could brush up their marketing here with some more facts/figures/videos and some more athletes or ex-athletes to talk about their experiences.

I found the event very exciting & enjoyable. The venue was spectacular although it was quite hot inside. The icing on the cake was seeing my nephew win the 1500m mens final & acheiving a personal best / record time, therefore getting into the British olympic swimming team 2012.

this was a great event but it would have helped to indicate what time each race would be or what the finish time was estimated to be
due to Central Line severe delays, we missed two out of the three races.
the PA system was not very clear so hard to hear the compere.
it was a good family event. glad to see lots of kids there.

Great to see the venue before the Olympics and get a feel of what it will be like. Well done to all the swimmers who competed and made the team for the big one!

Arriving in Stratford and walking up through the Olympic Park was very exciting and the Aquatic centre itself is breath-taking. It would have been lovely to see a few more races on the night, but the busier session sold out very fast.
I think it was a night we will remember for a long time and ti will change the way we watch the Olympic swimmers on TV this summer.

I had not been to Stratford before and was impressed with the clean shopping centre, the *excellent* information staff at both the train station, the VIP reception and the venue. Having bought a VIP ticket coming in at just under £100 I was hoping for a supurb seat. The seat was not very close at all to the pool and was fairly much right next to the general seating priced at £11 + fee. The poor management decision to give away blow up long sticks for children, particularly, to bang together to make a noise, was appalling. My view was obscured by these banging sticks and the noise was so intollerable (like the children didnt stop) that I had to move seat. The announcement system was *inaudible* and had to rely on the screen for information. It was extremely annoying and disappointing watching the parade of all the British swimmers that took place on the last night, 10 March. It was a disgrace to the swimmers, at least, that the audience couldnt hear their names announced; the swimmers might as well have come out holding a sign for all the audio system was worth. I thought the swimming and the positive atmosphere was fantastic, but lets hope England can *get it right* for the Olympics. Well done to all the swimmers who trained so hard, completed and those who actually got through to the Games.

Fantastic evening! Had missed out on Olympic tickets, but wanted the kids to be able to say that they've been there. A bit disappointed that only tickets left when I tried to book were for the last Saturday, as only 2 scheduled races. Not disappointed now! We saw Fran Halsall swim the fastest 50m free in the world this year, and SO close to the British record too! Also a superb mens 1500m freestyle race, followed by a guest mens 1500m race. Venue is fantastic, really bright. The seats are really well tiered so no problem with the view, even being in the back seats, and they're much more comfortable than most other swimming pool viewing areas we've experienced!
Absolute highlight was the unexpected parade of everyone who has made the British Olympic swimming team so far (younger daughter a Rebecca Adlington fan, she could hardly contain herself!). Would have been even better if the Paralympians had been included though!
